Each year, the IVMA President chooses a recipient of the President's Award to honor someone who has inspired them during their career. IVMA Immediate Past President, Dr. Ken May (right) presented the IVMA 2025 President's award to Dr. Charles "Chuck" Lemme (left) of Cedar Rapids in September. Dr. Lemme has had a remarkable career of giving back to the veterinary profession through his service to 8 different veterinary associations and colleges in 22 different roles or offices, including the Board Chairman of the AVMA. Thank you for your service, Dr. Lemme! Congratulations!

The IVMA is proud to honor Dr. Amie Roberts of Frey Pet Hospital in Cedar Rapids as the recipient of the 2025 Rising Star Award. She was presented with the award at the IVMA Annual Meeting last month in Ames. Dr. Roberts is known for her calm and compassionate presence with her patients and clients. She has been highly involved with the IVMA and we look forward to seeing what's to come in her professional career. Congratulations, Dr. Roberts!
