Emergency services are available for clients 24 hours a day, 365 days per year. If you have an emergency, simply call and leave a message. Lily (with Freddy) returned this year as a third year Vet Med student at Iowa State University and Emily in her second year of Animal Science also at ISU. We are always happy to host individuals who share a true passion for veterinary medicine. During their time with us, they gained valuable hands-on experience for both large and small animals. The Stuart Veterinary Clinic is excited to announce a change of ownership. Dr Curtis Korthanke has decided to become a partner with Dr Shawn Nicholson in our mixed animal practice.

Dr Curtis has been an associate veterinarian here for several years. He has improved and expanded our medical and surgical services for all species. His calm friendly demeanor has deservedly earned the trust of our clients.

As our business grows so will our team and our facility. Dr Curtis's leadership will help assure that we maintain both the quality and quantity of care for the future.

One of our summer interns Samantha O'Brien gave an excellent Grand rounds presentation this morning. She chose it quite an unusual animal and disease. Elephant endothelial herpes virus. She did an excellent job here especially learning more about large animals of what she had no experience before she came here. And she went way out of her comfort zone work with elephants. We wish Samantha O'Brien a great fourth year experience and look forward to having her spend more time with us
