🪲‼️PSA over flea control‼️🪲

While we recommend heart-worm, intestinal parasite, and flea/tick prevention year round for your pets, we urge everyone to make sure it is a product made for your pet! Dog prevention CANNOT be given orally or applied topically to your cat. Same the other way around. These products are SPECIES SPECIFIC and can cause life threatening reactions.

Recently, we have had several feline patients come in on emergency for Pyrethrin toxicity after having canine prevention applied. This causes seizures/tremors that they are unable to recover from.

We recommend prescription preventatives. They have been studied to be effective and SAFE. If you ever question any over the counter medications, or any medications in general, please reach out so we can help avoid your pet being in a life threatening emergency.

We are here to help you AND your pet!🐾

All Paws and Claws would like to welcome Dr. Emma Baughman to our practice!🐾🎉

She’s originally from the Harlan/Woodburn area and graduated from Woodlan High School in 2018. She went on to earn her Bachelor's degree in Biology from Ball State University before heading across the pond to complete her veterinary degree at the Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies in Edinburgh, Scotland.

Outside of the clinic, you'll usually find her spending time with her own pets—her dog, Kai, and her cat, Titan. She also enjoys reading, hiking, and getting together with her family for game nights.

As much as she loved her time abroad, she says she is thrilled to be back home in Indiana to start off her veterinary career. She’s extremely excited to join the All Paws & Claws team at the end of August!

Let’s give her a big All Paws and Claws welcome!!🐾
