Meet Ivy 🌿❤️

A few months ago, many people in Fremont followed the story of a young dog who spent weeks on the run. Every time someone got close, she would bolt. When she was finally brought to safety, she was exhausted, emaciated, covered in ticks, and desperately in need of care.

But the moment Ivy realized she was safe, her true personality appeared. She is full of love, affection, and joy. She adores people and is always ready to play, run, and soak up attention. Watching her now, you’d never guess where she started.

Ivy is estimated to be about 1½ years old and is looking for a home where she can be the only pet. She isn’t a fan of other dogs or cats, but she has more than enough love to give her people.

After everything she’s overcome, we’d love to see Ivy finally get the happy ending she deserves.

🌊🎶 ONE MONTH UNTIL CROOKED LAKE SANDBAR MUSIC FESTIVAL! 🎶🌊

Can you hear the music over the waves yet? 🌊☀️🚤

We’re officially one month away from the Crooked Lake Sandbar Music Festival on July 24th & 25th, one of the most anticipated weekends of the summer and the second-largest on-water concert in the country! 🎸🎤

While we don’t organize this incredible event, we are beyond grateful to be the beneficiary of it. Every year, this amazing community comes together to enjoy great music, time on the water, and support the homeless pets at our shelter. 🐾❤️

Our shelter manager, board members, and volunteers will be there all weekend selling shelter merchandise, sharing information about our mission, and introducing some adorable adoptable dogs looking for their forever homes. 🐶

We’re also still looking for volunteers to help make this incredible event possible!

A huge thank you to the Crooked Lake Music Festival team for everything they do. This event has become a summer tradition for so many, and its impact on the animals we serve is truly immeasurable.

🐶 Meet Smokey, Winston & Dolly
📍Located in Angola

“Smokey ( boy) is a six year old black lab he is super loving, great with all animals and kids and in his older Years just wants loving and to relaxs.

Wenston is 7 months old (boy), during my back surgeries this fall dolly and smokey ended up welcoming a litter of puppies. Wenston was our last puppy left and needed a forever home that we have been trying to find him. He is super sweet, loves to play, and then after being very warn out from all the playing loves to cuddle up and loves to watch cartoons

Dolly is 2 years old (female) super loving and is very sweet! She has had some struggles with anxiety. With all 4 kiddos it can be pretty loud in our home. Our 4 year old son can be a little over whelming with dolly however dolly has found her way of coping with her anxiety by having chew toys (always) and takes her little quiet time with me in the other room. However if I could find her another home with maybe older childern (9 and up) that would be ideal!”

📣 Friendly Reminder: Microchips Save Time, Stress, and Heartbreak 📣

Just last week, we took in SEVEN dogs that were not microchipped.

Thankfully, not every lost pet stays lost for long, but when a pet comes in without a microchip, finding their family becomes much more difficult.

A collar can slip off.
Tags can become damaged.
But a registered microchip provides a permanent form of identification that shelters and veterinarians can scan.
