Critters Rehab Ranch and Rescue Zookeepers turned “home”keepers when we realized just how bad all these critters needed good homes!

Come feed the baby Spotted turtles with me!
Splotch and Blotch are just a year old so it’s important that they get the try new foods all the time to make sure they get used to the foods that they need! Today they got turnip greens, zucchini, Mazuri turtle pellets, and Zupreem turtle blend, and fresh live mealworms!
They get fed in a separate container so that their water quality stays healthy for them! That’s why they look so grumpy after eating.. 😅 they’re still new and learning the routine!

✨Critter Spotlight✨

Meet Oogie Boogie! He is a Hapalopus sp. Columbia, or informally known as, the Pumpkin Patch tarantula! They are a dwarf species of tarantula so he’ll stay pretty small forever.
We got Oogie Boogie when he was a little smaller than half his size now as a wee sling! We got him near Halloween, and with a name like pumpkin patch, we knew we had to go with the obvious “Oogie Boogie” inspo!

Sploosh is showing off his beach bod as he gets ready for this nice weather!
Our three-toed box turtles have really been loving these 70° temps! In the wild, this is when they’d begin to come out of their burrows and start meeting the ladies! We’ve been seeing this in ours as they’re way more active and ready to eat!

Having an Australian Shepard/Border Collie mix has its challenges, and 99% of those challenges are allowing him to get all his energy out on a regular basis. We’re close to the beach but have yet to take Bo to it. Today we changed that! What an enriching day 🥰🐶

Guess who got an enclosure upgrade! Our skinks deserve the best and that’s just what they got! 🥰 We work hard to make sure our kiddos always have everything they deserve and now they get a chance to swim which is a natural behavior for them!

Guess who got an upgrade this weekend! We got a steal of a deal on this new 60 gallon tank and stand and spruced it up for our little aquatic friends 🥰 they love it already and their fish family looks just so happy! We love making the lives of our animals better every day 🫶
