Please read this!!
For those of you who follow our posts, one of the Pickle puppies (born to Miss Pickles in foster care in April and adopted to wonderful families in June) rummaged through his dad's backpack and ate some chewing gum containing Xylitol. This ingredient, often found in sugarless gums, low-calorie peanut butter, and several other common items, is highly toxic to dogs. Fortunately, his alert parents found him acting strangely and immediately got him to a vet. Their quick action, along with the dedicated work of Dr. Tom Heermance at Angels Veterinary Clinic, saved this sweet boy's life.

Riff (formerly known as Grillo) is now safe in his loving parents' arms and banned from eating gum ever again! All of us at CHS are so thankful to Brad and Alicia for being alert to Riff's behavior and to Dr. Tom for knowing exactly what to do to save this very special pup.💙

When your patient is bigger than your vet tech… but somehow still thinks he’s a lap dog! 😂🐶❤️
One of our favorite gentle giants came in for some extra love, cuddles & a checkup -we were more than happy to oblige! 🐾🥰

Looks like we have a brand-new little vet tech in training! 💕👩‍⚕️🐶
One of our amazing vet techs brought her beautiful baby in to see her vet family & we can’t get over those matching scrubs! 😍
She may be tiny, but she’s already looking pretty professional! 🥰 We have a feeling there’s a future veterinary team member in the making! 🐾💗
There’s nothing sweeter than watching the next generation grow up surrounded by love, compassion, and a whole lot of furry friends. ❤️🐶🐱
