It is with tremendous sadness that we say, we lost our newest member Lance. He was completely normal in the evening, then very lethargic and uninterested in food the next morning. We took him straight to the hospital where it was discovered his bowel wall was thickened to literally 10 times the normal and was increasing. His bloodwork showed he was losing protein rapidly and it was chronic. We hospitalized him on fluids and pain meds but he was worse the next day with a very poor prognosis. The decision was made to end his suffering. It was hard. It always is. We were looking forward to years of his sweet company. Rescuing seniors is always an unknown. May you rest in the most beautiful peace Lance. ❤️😞

Fun with fly masks! Lance didn’t mind his mask at all! Everyone else did! I think he actually laughed while the herd ran away! 🤣 💗
