I may have saved a dogs life yesterday. I saw these red spots that were not there last time. They made me think of bruises but fresh blood. Like a blood disorder or something. I'm not a vet but this gave me a creepy feeling. I asked my coworkers, told mom about them, showed her the pictures and said it's new. She called the vet, they squeezed her in, took blood. 0 platelets!!! She could not clot her blood. Now she's on meds and hopefully will be fine.
This is why regular grooming makes a difference.
