Lauren is often the first friendly face you see when you walk through our doors and the last one you see before you leave! ❤️ You might recognize her signature bun first, but it’s her happy smile and welcoming personality that brighten everyone’s day. ☀️

🐬 Which animal best matches her personality? A dolphin! Intelligent, playful, protective, and always striving for balance. 🐬

🩺 What is her veterinary superpower? Being cross-trained and able to switch between client service, assisting the team with whatever means necessary!

😂 Funniest thing a pet has done at work? One patient brought a ball to the appointment and carried it through bloodwork and all the way home! Talk about a dedicated fetch player! 🎾

🌞 Favorite way to spend a day off? Relaxing with friends and family and enjoying the outdoors with her pup. ❤️

🍟 Go-to comfort food? Ice cream and french fries! The perfect sweet-and-salty combo!

🐶 Tell us about her pet! Lauren has a 5-month-old Bernedoodle who’s still figuring out how his long legs work! He’s stubborn but sweet, just like a Sour Patch Kid. 😂

🧐 One fun fact about Lauren? During her bachelor’s degree, she participated in an equine research internship studying whether birth control in mares affects their ability to conceive through artificial insemination!

❤️ Something clients might not know? Lauren encourages pet owners to consider pet insurance while their pets are young and healthy. Most plans exclude pre-existing conditions, so planning ahead can make a big difference when unexpected medical expenses arise!

Important Pet Medication Recall

We want to make sure our clients are aware of a recent veterinary medication recall that may affect your pets.
Wedgewood Pharmacy LLC is voluntarily recalling nearly 4,000 compounded veterinary medications due to potential potency issues. The affected products were shipped nationwide between February 18, 2026, and October 6, 2026, to veterinary practices, pharmacies, and other customers. The recall includes various medications in forms such as powders, pastes, oral suspensions, injectables, ophthalmic ointments and solutions, ear solutions, topical sprays, and gels.

What does this mean for you and your pet?
If your pet is currently taking a compounded medication from Wedgewood Pharmacy, please check whether it's included in the recall. You can find the complete list of affected products, including lot numbers and expiration dates, here:

If your pet is on any recalled medications, we'll contact you. We know how important your pet's health and well-being are to you. If you have questions or concerns about a medication your pet is taking, please give our team a call. We're happy to help you understand what this means for your pet and determine any next steps.

If there’s one person who keeps our team going, it’s Rachel! ❤️ As our Clinical Supervisor, she wears so many hats, supports our team in more ways than we can count, and is always ready to jump in wherever she’s needed. She’s an incredibly talented technician, a patient teacher, and someone we can always count on. We’re so lucky to have her, and we honestly couldn’t do it without her!

With the candy bowl filling up, a quick reminder for pet families.

Chocolate, xylitol, and raisins are all dangerous for pets, and candy wrappers can cause problems of their own. Keep the stash somewhere your pet cannot reach, and remind the kids to do the same.

With a personality bigger than the entire New England sports fanbase and a Boston accent you can hear from three exam rooms away, Kendra is truly one of a kind! 😂 She’s got enough sass to keep us all in check, a heart just as big as her personality, and a soft spot for every furry face that walks through our doors. ❤️ She’s currently working toward her CVT, and we wouldn’t trade her for all six Patriots Super Bowl rings!

It is National Veterinary Technician Week and our techs are the heart of this place.

They comfort nervous patients, monitor anesthesia, are your lab-work technicians, surgical nurses, dental hygienists, and somehow still find a way to make everyone feel cared for, pets and people alike. We would be lost without them.
