Dr. Blalock is doing another CBC (blood count) to check her new blood cell count.

🚨💔 EMERGENCY PLEA FROM 4 The Love 💔🚨

Today, we received a call from a concerned citizen about a little dog in desperate need of help. She was found trembling, extremely weak, and so severely matted that she could barely move comfortably.
We immediately had the citizen take her to Fairland Veterinary, where Dr. Blalock examined her. The news was heartbreaking. This poor little girl was covered in hundreds of fleas and was so matted that the veterinary staff had to shave her just to be able to properly examine her. They gave her a dish soap bath in an attempt to kill off as many fleas as possible before continuing treatment.
Then came the worst news.
Her bloodwork showed that her platelet count was dangerously low, and without immediate intervention, she would not survive. Dr. Blalock informed us that she needed an emergency blood transfusion.
Without hesitation, we said yes.
Right now, this sweet little girl is fighting for her life, and we are praying that this transfusion gives her the chance she deserves. The blood transfusion alone is $600, and we know her veterinary care will continue to grow as she recovers.

Final update- Gracie is back home with her Daddy.

3rd update- we found her owner through her 10 year old rabies tag. She had been missing for a week.
She is 15 years old and her name is Gracie. 🐾🐾🐾🐾

2nd update- her rabies tag is from 2016 so she is at least 11 years old and emaciated. Believed to be blind and deaf and her teeth are extremely rotted.

There is an urgent need for dogs in Northeast Oklahoma. Consider stepping out of your comfort zone and volunteering to foster—you'll be saving lives. Foster homes provide a temporary sanctuary. 4 The Love Of Rescue is seeking fosters!
