It’s Throwback Thursday!!

This week is Little Pippi and Mr.Finn! These two have started to become the best of friends, even though Pip definitely stands her ground!

Pippi was found by the road at 4 weeks old. She was brought in to the vets office where her mom worked! She was just so cute, her mom snagged her up! Now she is 2.5 years old, a firecracker, and is very much her Dad's baby. Fun fact: her gotcha day happens to be her mom's birthday!

Finn was discovered in the engine bay of a friend's truck and had been hiding there for warmth. He was taken to the vets office where he was sent home with a clean bill of health. His mom and dad wanted a playmate for his sister and brought him home. He is the sweetest kitty & loves his snuggles with mom.

Stay tuned for more cuteness overload the following weeks!! Also don’t forget costume contest has begun so bring your pet in its little costume and snag a pic for chance to win a prizeeee!!

If you haven’t realized what day it is, then let me remind you it’s Throwback Tuesdayyyyy!!

This throwback is of Nala who is a little rescue random! Unsure of the breed mix of Nala, but it doesn’t take away from her sweet, spunky and iconic personality! Nala loves going on hikes with her Mom and Dad, as well as playing with her toy ball.

Nala was rescued from a front yard where she originally was kept in unkind conditions. Luckily her mom spotted her online and snagged her right up! Now 5 year old Nala is the happiest, go-luckiest girl!

Stay tuned for Thursday to see more cute faces!

Throwback Thursday! The first one of October which means these babies have a rescue/adoption story attached to them!

This is Pumpkin a big orange boy who is the sweetest around. He definitely encapsulates an orange cat from being so sweet, to the craziest cat using his singular brain cell! This guy is obsessed with love and treats, which who isn’t 🤭.

Pumpkin was rescued/found at a baseball field! His sister and brother were obsessed with him and easily convinced Mom to take him home as well! Dad on the other hand was on the fence said no but pumpkin weaseled his self in! Now pumpkin is living his best life as a goofy, crazy, loving orange boy!

Stay tuned for throwback Tuesday and Thursdays!

Take a look Thursday is here!! This week we are looking at another type of mite. This one is commonly referred to as an Ear mite, but its scientific name is Otodectes cynotis.

This mite is often transmitted through direct contact of animals or through direct contact with material where the mites may have attached. Luckily for us these ear mites are not interested in humans and would rather befriend your furry friend!

Ear mite symptoms:
-very dirty/gunky ears
-consistent scratching or shaking of head

As always these symptoms correlate with other possible underlying issues so it is crucial to see a veterinary professional to assess! These mites are not visible to the naked eye and would require a microscope to see, unless the animal was severely infested then you may be able to see them!

Treatment is possible and requires a good ear cleaning so they can hear colors 🥰. Then we would apply either Ivermectin, otomite and/or revolution! Often flea/tick prevention will prevent against a mite infection!

Stay tuned for next week for another take a look Thursday!
