Madison County Humane Society, Indiana Madison County SPCA Humane Society is a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) charity that receives no tax monies. Dogs are kept on monthly flea and heartworm prevention.

MCHS is a no-kill cat and dog receiving shelter and rescue funded by donations, fund-raising efforts & nominal fees; we receive no taxpayer monies. MCHS shelters more than 100-115 homeless animals every day and often has some in foster care.


--This fee includes spaying / neutering, age appropriate vaccinations, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine for pets 4 months and older, FIV/FELV test for cats, heartworm test for dogs 7 months and older and worming. All animals are microchipped prior to leaving for their forever homes.

For these deals we are asking you to bring something cat/ dog related it can be anything from a can of dog food to whatever you want to bring. This helps the animals at the Madison County Humane society.

We are currently in need of bleach, peanut butter, laundry soap, metal slow-feed bowls, p**p scoopers, and Purina ONE cat food.

These everyday supplies help us keep our shelter clean, comfortable, and provide the best care possible for all the animals waiting for their forever homes.

Sometimes we end up with dogs for a long time— not because they’re unworthy of a home. Sometimes we have dogs that are scared of strangers and will completely shut down in the presence of them.

Ziva May was one of those dogs. She loved kids and other dogs, but adults, especially men, were terrifying to her.

We got Ziva as an 11 month old baby. Today she’s 4 years old. That’s a long time to wait. She was adopted for a short time but returned after the dog in the home kept attacking her. She’s spent so long waiting on her perfect home.

That’s where these two come in! They’ve actively came in every single week for months to get ziva used to them and their dog. Today they took her HOME. This is why we do what we do.
