A little reassurance, we are NEVER judging your pet’s hair or nails.

Our oldest girl, Lucy Lu, has reached the point where going to the groomer causes her way too much anxiety, so professional grooming is officially off the table.

Unfortunately for Lucy Lu, we
own clippers.

We are now in Phase 4 of the Great Home Haircut Experiment (Phase 1: Mohawk, Phase 2: Racing Stripe, Phase 3: Stegosaurus), when we finally gave up on trying to make it look remotely intentional and realized, “You know what? We better just shave her bald.” 😂

So if we come to your home and your pet has overgrown nails, a questionable haircut, some mats, or looks like they haven't seen a professional groomer in quite some time, don't worry, we get it. Sometimes age, illness, mobility issues, anxiety, or simply keeping them comfortable means grooming isn't a priority anymore.

And to every professional groomer out there: WE RESPECT YOU. 🙌

Hey friends -

SCHEDULING UPDATE 📣📣📣

Faithful Hearts will be closed September 8–22.

The work we do means so much to us, but it also asks a lot of our hearts. We spend so much of our time helping families care for and say goodbye to the pets they love. Meanwhile our own pets are getting older, and right now, time with them feels especially precious. 🐾

So, for two weeks, we’re stepping away to rest, recharge, and simply be present with our family.

We know that end-of-life needs don’t always happen on a convenient schedule, and we never take lightly the trust families place in us during such vulnerable moments. We’re incredibly grateful for your understanding while we take this time to care for ourselves and the animals who have spent their lives caring for us.

We’ll return September 23, rested and ready to continue doing this work with the compassion and presence every family deserves.

It’s National Dog Day!

Our pack:

Lucy Lu, a 14-year-old Pugapoo (for 10 years we lived with her posing as a “border terrier” but DNA testing revealed the truth!) 🐩

Stetson, an 11-year-old Australian Shepherd. He is my Velcro pup 💙

Bonnie, a 10-year-old pitbull who has a boatload of medical problems but keeps seeing the joy in everyday! ☀️

Aggie, a 13-year-old pitbull mix (with Papillon according to DNA test) we adopted as a senior from PAWS 🐾
