Anchorage Animal Care and Control We are the open-admission animal shelter for domestic animals and the enforcement agency for Title 17 Animals for the Municipality of Anchorage.

https://24Petconnect.com/aaccadoptablepets Our shelter provides a temporary home to stray animals waiting to be claimed by their owners or homeless animals waiting to be adopted. We have an active volunteer force that helps exercise and socialize shelter animals. Animal control officers respond to requests for assistance regarding animals in need and to concerns about animals that might be a threat to public safety.

🌸Helima is a shy and sensitive girl who prefers to take things at her own pace. She may be a little hesitant when meeting new people, but don’t let her timid nature fool you. Behind that shyness is an incredibly sweet companion with an endless supply of love just waiting to be shared. 🥰

🐰💕 Zoinks! It’s Shaggy, and she’s looking for a home!

This morning, we brought our current longest resident, Shaggy, down to MIX 103.1 to be featured as this week’s Pet of the Week! 🎙️🐾

Shaggy is an absolutely wonderful lady who has perfected the art of being adorable! She’s incredibly easygoing, loves attention, and is always happy to make a new friend. Whether she’s getting some gentle pets or just hanging out with her favorite humans, Shaggy is one social bunny who has plenty of love to give! 🥰

While rabbits can make wonderful, relatively low-maintenance companions in some ways, they do have some special needs! 🥕🐇 From proper nutrition and spacious housing to enrichment, social interaction, and specialized veterinary care, there’s more to bunny ownership than carrots and cuddles! We always encourage potential adopters to do their research before bringing a rabbit home to ensure they’re prepared to provide a happy, healthy life.

Shaggy has been patiently waiting for her turn to find a family, and we think it’s about time this sweet girl gets her happily ever after! 💕

Jerry is showing off just how wonderful of a gentleman he truly is! At almost 10 years old, this handsome fella has had plenty of practice at being a dog, and we think he’s just about perfected it! 🥹

While hanging out with us at Petco today, Jerry has been an absolute superstar! 🌟 He’s been wonderful with the kids he’s met, made friends with every dog he’s encountered, and has shown everyone just how easygoing and lovable he really is.

Jerry isn’t asking for much. Just a loving family, some fun adventures, and a comfy place to relax at the end of the day. ❤️
