The park was purchased in 1975 and began development in 1994. The park was renamed Whisper Faith Kovach Park in 1998 as a memorial to a seven year old girl. Whisper Faith Kovach Park is an important playground for the Abbott Loop neighborhood. The playground and safety surfacing are not currently compliant with industry-wide safety and accessibility standards. Upgrading the playground and safety s

urfacing will remedy this issue. Friends of Whisper Faith Kovach Park are seeking financial support for improvements that begin construction in 2018. We are also looking for volunteers! There are 4 or 5 deep holes in the park, dangerous for pups and people. Please, if your dog digs stop him and fill in the hole. If anyone has a wheelbarrow and dirt and a shovel, it would be great if he or she or they could fill in the holes already there.

The dog park is pretty wet and messy now, but starting to dry out. It is also home to a lot of old dog p**p. If all park users both cleaned up after their dog and scooped a couple of old p**ps we’d have a cleaner park sooner.
