Anchorage Greens has been plastic free along with most large chain grocery stores- for almost a year! Thank you to our subscribers and walk-in visits who have adjusted with us in our intention of being sustainable and eco-friendly. When you come into our market to shop, make sure to bring a bag or another reusable item to carry your produce. In our market we offer this incredible tote bag, multiuse and just darn cute, for $6 or plastic totes for $5. We understand it’s common to forget a bag, we do our best to find alternatives to help our customers bring their produce out. Our team often donates their own paper bags from the grocery store or fruit boxes from Costco! As a community we can share this green effort together. Don’t forget to tell your friends and family when they’re picking up for you, or if you come and check us out, that you’ll find everything green- but no plastic!
