Athena is still available!!

She loves cuddles, playing with toys, getting brushed and romping with other dogs.
A little shy with people but warms up if you let her take her time and get to know you.
She’s a sweet girl, doesn’t jump up, knows basic obedience and is house trained.
She is 2 years old, Maremma & Poodle mix, looking for a new home.
Has appointment on Oct 7th to get spayed, can go home with you after that!

This is basically what training feels/looks like when your dog has no idea what you’re asking them to do.
Watch all the way through, at least he figured it out!!! lol 😆

That’s why positive reinforcement works so well, it gives your dog a very clear signal (marker, cue - kinda like the people in the video with the “hot” n “cold” approach they’re using) We actually teach that a click or a word means “hot” to them, and then positively reinforce it with a treat.
Once it’s taught treats are phased out and other reward methods are used.

Mealtime! Such good doggies.
I have to remind them to eat their own dinner lol. Of course they always want the others’ as well.
With each having their own kind of food though, this works out perfectly.

Athena is a very loving, sweet, girl looking for a new home. She is very shy with new people but a total love bug once she gets to know you. She is a Poodle Sheepdog mix, 2 years old. Come meet her and you will surely fall in love.

Loves to play with toys and snuggle with you, will sit in your lap or cuddle next to you.
Needs a someone confident, calm and gentle to gain her trust and affection. Will follow you around, good on leash, knows basic obedience and shake!
Good with other animals and dogs if introduced slowly and at her pace, cautiously fearful at first. She has gained a ton of confidence already and with patience could be an amazing family dog. Rehoming fee $200 negotiable to right home.

Cat reactivity training. Starting with them just seeing her through an open window and rewarding calm behavior.
