Bichon Rescue Brigade Anyone who has owned a Bichon Frise can attest to the amazing joy they give to their human and canine companions.

They seem to have one sole purpose in life: to love and be loved by all. We are a foster based rescue in Southern California.

Toby needs a place to crash for just one week. This sweet, energetic boy loves fetch, zoomies, walks, playing with other dogs, and snuggling on the couch when playtime is over. 🥹

Toby would thrive in an active home with a playful canine companion, no young children, and someone who can provide regular potty breaks, structure, and patience as he settles in.

Little Lacie has been busy stealing hearts, chasing toys, and showing off all that puppy personality!

At just 4 months old, this fluffy little sweetheart is playful, affectionate, and full of energy. She loves toys, running around, and trying to convince her foster siblings to play with her. When playtime is over, she’s happy to snuggle up in bed with her people.

She’s also doing great with potty training, using pads or going outside, and her foster says she’s an absolute sweetheart.

Lacie would love an active family with plenty of time for play, cuddles, and all the adventures that come with raising a puppy. Another playful dog would be a bonus!

Meet Benjie, a sweet, energetic 5-year-old Maltese/Yorkie mix who loves plush toys, cuddles and being around people!

Benjie is currently in San Jose, CA, where his family is making the difficult decision to relinquish him to BRB. We’re looking for a loving foster or foster-to-adopt home in Northern or Southern California to help him begin his next chapter.

This playful boy is house-trained, crate-trained and leash-trained. He’s friendly with other dogs and children, and would love someone who enjoys cuddling as much as he does! With plenty of energy and affection to share, Benjie is ready for a home where he can be someone’s cherished companion. 💜

After being found as a stray in rough shape, Collette was rescued from Downey in July and began her journey to recovery with the help of her wonderful foster, Stephanie (Stephanie Cho).

On September 9, Collette found her forever home with Amelie, Mike and their pup, Dexter — and it feels like they were always meant to find each other! Now known as Letti, she’s settling in beautifully, stealing hearts and sharing a special bond with Amelie. Her family says it feels like a reunion, even though they’ve only just met.

A huge thank you to Stephanie for giving Letti her freedom ride, guiding her through recovery and vet visits, and helping her prepare for this next chapter.

Lucy’s journey to her forever home started when we were contacted about this little Yorkie at the Palmdale shelter who urgently needed help while battling a URI. Thankfully, a foster stepped up to foster her and helped her recover before she was spayed and ready for her next chapter.

And then came the best part: Lucy met Carla. It was love at first sight! 🥹

Carla is an experienced dog owner and former Yorkie mom, and we couldn’t have asked for a better match for Lucy. After their meet-and-greet, it was clear that Lucy had found her person.

After everything this little girl went through, we are so happy to see her starting the next chapter of her life in a loving forever home.

Congratulations, Lucy and Carla! We wish you both a lifetime of happiness together. 🐾

Lacie has been with BRB for only a few days, and her foster already has a pretty glowing review. 🥹💗

Formerly Coco, this 4-month-old Maltese was surrendered to the Palmdale shelter on September 29. She joined BRB the next day and started her new chapter as Lacie.

She’s a happy, gentle puppy who loves toys, balls, running and trying to convince her foster siblings to play. 😂 She’s not much of a barker, is doing great with potty pads and going outside, and loves snuggling into bed at night with her foster and the other dogs.

Lacie would love an active family to play and grow up with. Kids and another playful dog could be a great fit. 💕

One-year-old Dexter found himself at Downey Animal Care Center, where the shelter environment was understandably scary for this tiny 9-pound boy. When he became Rescue Only and was placed on the euthanasia list, he needed a rescue to give him the chance to leave the shelter behind.

Dexter is safe with us now.

Now he’ll get exactly what he needs: time to decompress, recover from his cough, and settle into life outside the shelter. We’ll give him the space and patience he needs while we get to know him.
