We are sad to announce that Camp Director Justin is departing camp for a new adventure, but so happy for him that he is starting a wonderful new job in a very magical place! Justin started with us 18 years ago, about 7 months after we opened in 2008. He immediately showed his care and love of our campers, but also demonstrated care and concern for pawrents, staff, and camp owners. Very soon, we were relying on him to brainstorm ideas for challenges that would arise. We’ve relied on him countless times to improve our operations with his amazing ideas. Justin quickly became Assistant Camp Director and within a few years became our Camp Director in 2013 and has held this position for 13 years. He is kind, compassionate, strong and is a wonderful leader. We are a better camp because of all of Justin’s contributions over 18 years. His last day is today (10/16/2026) and he will be missed immensely!

On a happy note, Assistant Camp Director Azelynn has agreed to step into Justin’s position as Camp Director. She started here over 10 years ago as a Camp Counselor and quickly became a lead due to her leadership skills. She was promoted as Assistant Camp Director over 2 years ago, and we rely on her for her love of our campers, her analytical solutions to challenges, her knowledge of dog health and her attention to detail. Our camp is going to continue to be in great hands due to her skills.

When Spud was diagnosed with osteosarcoma, his family was faced with overwhelming costs of an amputation, chemotherapy, and other treatment expenses they couldn’t afford on their own. The Bow Wow Buddies Foundation was happy to provide a medical grant to help ease the financial burden of Spud’s care so his family could focus on his recovery.

Every grant gives families one less thing to worry about during a difficult time. Help a buddy in need at www.bowwowbuddies.com 💛
