Pintler Pets is a private, non-profit 501(c)3 humane society in Anaconda Montana.

While the shelter is still not officially open to the public (due to Covid), meet and greets can be scheduled after an application has been submitted and approved. Please visit https://www.pintlerpetsmt.org to view our adoptable pets and adoption application. Applications must be approved before adoption and Pintler Pets reserves the right to refuse any adoption. Adoption Fees*
Puppies (under 6 mo

nths): $225.00
Dogs (6 mo - 3 years): $175.00
Dogs (3 - 6 years): $150.00
Senior Dogs (7+ years): $60.00
Kittens (under 6 months): $70.00
Cats (6+ months): $50.00
Cats (Seniors): $30.00
Bonded Pair (Cats): $90.00

*All animals are spayed/neutered, vaccinated (including Rabies if old enough and kennel cough for dogs), dewormed, and microchipped.

Bailey is a sweet senior girl that has been with us since March of this year.

She’s a calm, affectionate girl who adores attention without being overbearing, the perfect companion if you’re looking for a dog who simply wants to be near her people. Bailey is in good health, walks well on a leash, and still has plenty of love and life to give.

One important thing to know about Bailey is that other dogs are not her cup of tea. While she may tolerate or get along with certain dogs in some situations, her relationships with other dogs have not been consistently positive, and we’ve determined that she needs to be the only dog in her home where she can truly relax and thrive.

What Bailey really loves is people. She’s past the puppy chaos and ready for the good stuff: companionship, leisurely walks, cozy naps, plenty of attention, and a family of her very own.

Meet Tin Tin. Just like his famous namesake, Tin Tin is ready to leave the shelter and head off into the great unknown, although his ideal adventure involves a little less mystery-solving and a lot more walks and belly rubs.

He is a very sweet boy who absolutely loves people and enjoys playtime, especially with his favorite blue bowling pin squeaky toy, however, Tin Tin is way too interested in cats in a not-so-great way, so he will need a cat-free home.

Pumpkin arrived at Pintler Pets as an owner surrender. She was very pregnant at the time and delivered a litter of puppies just a few days later. Heartbreakingly, one by one, her puppies passed away, leaving her with just one surviving pup, Tank.

Through it all, Pumpkin has remained the sweetest, quietest soul. She has endured more than any mama should, and we hope the hardest days are behind her.

Our youngest residents are ready to trade their kennel runs for backyards and cozy beds.

They're growing up in the shelter, but we'd much rather see them growing up in loving homes.

While puppies and new arrivals often find homes quickly, our Lonely Hearts have watched families come and go... waiting for someone to choose them. Some have been with us since 2024.

Sometimes all it takes is one share, one visit, or one person willing to look past the length of their stay.

We are incredibly grateful to Anaconda local, Sara Morris Photography for generously donating her time and talent to photograph some of our shelter dogs, including many of our long-term residents.

Sara's session gave us the opportunity to capture a fresh perspective on many of our long-term residents. These beautiful portraits do more than show what our dogs look like, they highlight their unique personalities. We hope more people see the incredible companions waiting patiently behind the kennel doors and inspire someone to give them the loving home they deserve. Every dog has a story, and we're hopeful these photos help tell it.

We're so thankful that Sara chose to donate her talent to our shelter. Her generosity, combined with the ongoing efforts of our volunteers, gives our dogs an even better chance of finding the loving homes they deserve.

Thank you, Sara, it truly takes a community, and we're so grateful to have you in ours.
