Our shelves are getting low, and we need your help!

Right now, we have over 20 kittens under 3 months old in our care, along with 3 nursing mama cats. These growing babies are going through wet food faster than we can keep up, and in just a few weeks, our nursing mamas' kittens will also be transitioning to wet kitten food.

We are currently in need of:

That's how long Ranger has been waiting for someone to choose him. 💔

Ranger is a 2-year-old Lab mix who is just about as close to the "perfect dog" as they come! ❤️ This handsome boy has spent 410 DAYS in the shelter, and honestly... we can't understand why. 😢

As we look back on May 2026, we are incredibly grateful for the support of our community, volunteers, fosters, adopters, donors, and advocates who make our mission possible every single day.

Thanks to your support, 37 animals left the Amory Animal Resource Center on transport to rescue partners and new opportunities for loving homes. In addition, 16 animals were adopted directly into forever families right here in our community!

That's a total of 53 lives given a brighter future in just one month. 🐾

Every adoption, every foster home, every donation, every share, and every kind word helps us continue this important work. While we celebrate these successes, there are still many animals who need our help, and we cannot do it without you.

🩵🐾 **Meet Stitch!** 🐾🩵

Just like his famous namesake, Stitch is a little different, a little quirky, and completely worth loving.

This adorable 4-month-old Terrier/Lab mix is on a journey of discovery. When Stitch first meets new people, he can be a bit timid and unsure. The world hasn't always made sense to him, and learning that humans can be kind takes time. But every single day, he grows a little braver, trusts a little more, and lets his sweet personality shine through.

The best part? Watching Stitch realize that he's safe.

It's there in the cautious tail wag that turns into a happy wiggle. It's in the curious glance that becomes a request for attention. It's in those small victories that make his future family the luckiest people in the world.

Stitch is still a puppy, so he has plenty of playful energy and a lifetime of adventures ahead of him. What he needs most is a patient family willing to move at his pace and celebrate all the little milestones along the way.

☀️🐾 Sunshine, puppy zoomies, and happy tails... it doesn't get much better than this! 🐾☀️

Our shelter puppies had an absolute blast soaking up some sunshine and burning off energy in the yard today. From playful wrestling matches to full-speed zoomies, these little ones made the most of their outdoor adventure!

As temperatures continue to climb this summer, today's play session was also a great reminder of the importance of keeping our pets safe in the heat. 🌡️

🐶 Always provide plenty of fresh, cool water.
🌳 Make sure pets have access to shade.
⏰ Schedule walks and playtime during the cooler morning or evening hours.
🔥 Remember that pavement can become dangerously hot and burn sensitive paw pads.
🚗 Never leave pets unattended in a vehicle, even for a few minutes.

While our puppies enjoyed supervised outdoor fun with lots of water breaks, they're all dreaming of something even better: a family of their very own. ❤️

At 7.5 months old and 25 pounds of pure fun, Marcy is ready to turn the page and start the best chapter of her life yet: finding a forever family.
