Oklahoma who exhibits in AKC conformation and FastCAT performance events. Type, temperament, and health are the primary focus. rth, and OFA Health Clinic Committee Chairman for the Sooner State All-Breed Kennel Club. I love the wonderful Frenchie personality and my days are filled with laughter at their antics. For over 20 years beginning in 1975, I was a vet tech, groomer, obedience instructor for 4H and dog show handler. Dogs were my life and everything was great until a divorce in 1996 took everything and my life went a different direction. When I recently reached retirement age, I moved back to my hometown to a 3 bedroom farmhouse with 5 acres attached. I fell in love with the French Bulldog breed because of their cute comical personality, so I purchased and imported a French Bulldog puppy with show potential from Spain, another show potential from Idaho and a piebald show potential from a show breeder in southeast Oklahoma. The weekends found me once again in the showring and I am loving every minute of it. My Spanish girl, Mellie, and my Penny girl are both finished AKC Champions and they, along with Pie, are OFA CHIC certified. Penny has her DCAT and Pie has her BCAT title in FastCAT. Yogi, a white and fawn piebald, recently joined our family and loves running FastCAT. Even though I was a breeder over 30 years ago, I just recently began breeding Frenchies. program I am committed to health testing my adults and staying current with breeding practices and canine health advances, complying with all AKC policies, continuing to be a responsible breeder as I always have, and upholding the tradition of producing happy and healthy French Bulldogs. All of my adults have been screened through DNA and OFA testing to eliminate any genetic disease so that my puppies all have the advantage of good genes. My focus in breeding is on health, temperament and type. The puppies are raised in my house. They are socialized with other dogs, grandkids and young nieces and nephews. They are great representatives of the breed standard. I will never breed any fad colors (blue, black and tan, merle, lilac, etc.) that are not approved by the National club. Although I would love to keep all my puppies and show them, that is just not possible. So that leaves finding the best pet homes possible for them so they can bring joy to the lives of their family.

Oklahoma Green Country French Bulldog Club Specialty at the Oklahoma Classic Dog Show – Oklahoma City, OK - May 31, 2026

At just 11 months of age, CH EBULLIENT BLINDED BY THE LIGHT ("Bruce") was awarded Best of Opposite S*x from the Best of Breed competition. I am both honored and grateful that Bruce was recognized among such a beautiful and competitive lineup of quality French Bulldogs.

My sincere thanks to respected Breeder-Judge Dale Martenson for this memorable win and to professional handler, Perry Payson , for his exceptional presentation of Bruce. I would also like to thank Patti Sears for making sure he made it to the show, and Kathy Clayton and Charlie Hays for the final touches at ringside.

After much thought and with a heavy heart, I have made the difficult decision to retire Ginger from the AKC dog show conformation ring.

Since becoming involved in French Bulldogs, this is one of the hardest decisions I have faced. Ginger holds a very special place in my heart as my first homebred show dog. As a six-month-old puppy, she captured Winners B***h at her very first show in Springfield under respected judge Gary L. Anderson, and from that moment on, she gave me countless reasons to be proud.

For the past two years, we have pursued the final two majors needed to complete her championship. Time after time, circumstances seemed to work against us. Majors were broken when entries failed to appear or crossovers didn’t happen, and even when we entrusted her to top professional handlers, success remained just out of reach.

Despite never finishing her championship, Ginger's accomplishments speak for themselves. Over her four-year show career, she earned an impressive 114 awards, including 3 Best of Opposite S*x wins, 9 Winners B***h awards, 7 Reserve Winners awards, numerous first and second placements giving her a total of 7 Puppy of Achievement points, 5 NOHS points, and 12 championship points earned under 9 different judges.

While her show career may not have ended exactly as I had hoped, Ginger has already exceeded my expectations in so many ways. Time waits for no one, and if she is to contribute to my breeding program, that time is now. As every breeder knows, motherhood often changes a girl's appearance, and sometimes the next chapter means setting aside one dream to pursue another.

My hope is that Ginger's greatest accomplishment is still ahead of her—that she will one day give me the next exceptional homebred show dog to carry on her legacy. No matter what the future holds, she will always be my first homebred girl and one of the most cherished dogs I have ever owned.

This adorable brindle French Bulldog girl is 9 weeks old and thriving! 🐾💕

She is a wonderful example of the breed with a sweet, affectionate temperament and a healthy, happy outlook on life. Her sire is an AKC Champion, and both parents have earned AKC Performance Titles. They are health tested and OFA CHIC certified, reflecting a commitment to preserving the French Bulldog breed.

This little lady has been vet checked, vaccinated, and microchipped, and she is enjoying every moment of puppyhood while discovering the world around her. We look forward to watching her next chapter unfold and seeing the joy she brings wherever life takes her. ❤️

Our French Bulldog Club will be holding a Specialty show this Friday and Sunday at the Oklahoma Classic dog show at the BENNETT EVENT CENTER • OKLAHOMA STATE FAIR PARK, 3001 General Pershing Blvd, Oklahoma City, OK 73107.
