Well, tomorrow 6/10/26 will be my last day of consistent doggy daycare. My summer is about to get super crazy and I don't have much availability. I may have a day here and there where I can see my fur babies. Please keep an eye on my calendar for availability. I will update it as much as possible.

Holy cow folks. Summer is here and in full effect.

Calendar update..

Reminder: Starting June 13, 2026 I will no longer be accepting daycare clients. I will reassess at the end of August and let you know if my situation has changed.

I had a lower back rhizotomy today. They made 3-1" incisions in my lower back on the left side. Opened it up to see my nerve and cut the nerve. They then burned both ends of the nerve. They did this in three spots. The hope is that it will alleviate my lower back pain caused from arthritis and herniated discs. They also did a steroid shot in my right shoulder to help calm the muscles down because of my atypical labrum tear. Oh did I mention that I also have three herniated discs in my neck 🙄. Getting old is for the birds.

If you have dogs schedule no worry. All is good. They said I need to be up and moving and my husband is here to help with the fur babes. I should be good to go in a couple days.

Calendar update.

I wanted to give you all a heads-up that we have a very busy summer ahead of us with a lot going on. Because of this, I have decided to step away from dog daycare for the summer, at least temporarily. My last day offering daycare services will be June 12, 2026.

I will still be available for boarding as my schedule and recovery allow.

Recently, I found out I will need shoulder surgery for a torn labrum and paralabral cyst, as well as a two-part back surgery due to severe pain from bulging discs. I also discovered I have two bulging discs in my neck, in addition to managing psoriatic arthritis.

On top of that, our family will be traveling frequently for baseball this summer, and trying to balance everything has become more than I can realistically manage. I wanted to make sure to give everyone plenty of notice so you have time to make other arrangements if needed.

I plan to reassess things in mid-August and see where I am in my surgical recovery at that time.
