💜 MEET CINDY: NOW IT’S HER TURN 💜

When Cindy was found beneath an abandoned trailer, she wasn’t alone.

She was caring for seven newborn kittens.

Cindy was painfully thin and doing everything she could to keep her babies fed. Someone had been giving her dry dog food, but it simply wasn’t enough nutrition for a nursing mama trying to sustain seven tiny lives. Sadly, one of her babies didn’t make it.

That’s when Courtney stepped in.

Cindy and her surviving kittens were rescued when the babies were only about a week old, and this sweet mama finally had the food, safety and help she needed to finish raising her little family.

And now?

Mama’s job is done. It’s Cindy’s turn. 🥹💜

Cindy has one of the sweetest dispositions you could ask for. After everything she’s been through, her wish list for the rest of her life is beautifully simple:

A lap. Love. And a family of her very own.

She’s also a polydactyl girl, which means she comes equipped with extra toes and therefore, scientifically speaking, extra adorable. 🐾😂

Cindy spent the beginning of her story taking care of everyone else.

The glamorous life of a rescue co-founder… 😂

It’s pitch black. Adrienne is trekking through a yard, checking traps and hoping to find cats ready for TNR Day.

She gets back to the traps and…

Not cats. Baby possums. AGAIN. 🤦‍♀️😂

For the second time at this property, these tiny freeloaders have climbed into the traps, eaten the cat food, and apparently decided the accommodations are acceptable.

🐱 Cats: Absolutely not.

🦝 Baby possums: FREE BUFFET?! WE’RE IN.

Meanwhile, Adrienne is standing in the dark wondering how this became her life. 😂

Just another night in rescue. You truly never know who’s coming to dinner. 💜

🐾 Some of our “new to rescue” cats come with stories that break your heart. 💔

Meet Vinnie and Vader. ❤️

These boys have actually been in foster care since April, after their person suffered a stroke and was hospitalized. She trusted only one person to care for her babies: the very person who had rescued them when they were kittens.

So, we waited. We waited patiently and hoped their mom would recover. At first, things were looking up. She was making progress with physical and speech therapy, and we held onto hope that she would get stronger.

Then came the unthinkable. 💔 She suffered another stroke and sadly passed away.

Vinnie and Vader have lost the person they knew as home, and now they're looking for a new place to call their own.

❤️ Vinnie is a sweet, cuddly boy who would love nothing more than a cozy spot and someone to snuggle with.

❤️ Vader is vocal and loving, with plenty to say and plenty of affection to give!

These boys have shared their lives together. While they aren't bonded, we'd love to see them stay together if possible! They each have their own unique personalities, and we'd love to find a home that has room in its heart for both. Of course, if the right homes come along separately, we want each boy to have that chance at happiness, too.

🏡 A note about their paws: Both boys are front declawed, so they will need to be strictly indoor cats in a safe, loving home.

They've already been waiting since April. We'd love nothing more than to see them settled into a home where they can be loved, spoiled, and cherished for the rest of their lives.

Sometimes rescue isn't about saving a cat from the streets. Sometimes it's about helping a cat through a loss they don't understand and finding them a new beginning when life takes a heartbreaking turn.

Our 1st Birthday Bingo Bash is getting closer, and we’re still looking for donations to help us create some AMAZING raffle baskets! 💜

If you own a business, make something fabulous, have a gift card sitting around, or simply want an easy way to help the cats of Furl 2 Furever—we would be incredibly grateful for your help!

We’re looking for things like gift cards, restaurant or entertainment certificates, candles and self-care items, cozy blankets, tumblers, coffee and tea, chocolates and snacks, pet goodies, lottery tickets, seasonal items, sports merchandise, event tickets, handmade items and just about anything fun that could become part of a great basket.

And please don’t feel like you have to donate an entire basket! Individual items are absolutely welcome. We can combine donated goodies to create themed baskets ourselves. 🎁

Every raffle basket and every ticket sold at our November 14 Birthday Bingo Bash helps Furl 2 Furever continue doing what we do every day—providing food, supplies, veterinary care and safe foster homes for cats who need us.

💜🐾 CLEO & LEO UPDATE! 🐾💜

Our little duo continues to keep us on our toes—and by duo, we mostly mean Leo. 😂

Leo is doing GREAT. In fact, Leo is doing so great that he has apparently decided his current purpose in life is to be an absolute menace to his sister. Jumping on her. Biting her tail. Biting her back. Wrestling when she very clearly did NOT sign up for WWE.

After approximately 47 rounds of “LEO! STOP! SHE DOESN’T LIKE IT!” it became pretty obvious that poor Cleo had had enough of her brother’s malarkey. 😂

So Cleo was moved downstairs to the penthouse for some much-needed peace and quiet.

And that little girl barely got settled before she fell sound asleep. 🥹💜

Meanwhile, Leo immediately planted his paws against the screen looking absolutely betrayed that someone had removed his favorite wrestling partner. Sir, these are called consequences. 😂

On the more serious side, we are continuing to keep a close eye on our little Cleo. She still has some things we want to watch carefully, but right now she is eating, going potty and gaining weight. She weighed in at 0.979 lb, putting her so close to that one-pound milestone!

So for now, we remain cautiously optimistic and very grateful for every little bit of progress she makes. 💜

Leo, at 1.6 lb, is apparently using his weight gain exclusively to increase his wrestling capabilities.

Two babies. Two VERY different energy levels. One exhausted foster mom. 😂🐾

Keep growing, little ones. We’re all rooting for you. 💜

These beautiful babies will be among the adoptable cats we're featuring during PetSmart Charities National Adoption Week at PetSmart in Elyria! They may still be young, but they're growing up fast—and every one of them deserves to finish growing up in a home of their own. 💜

💕 SHAY — 5 months old

If you've been looking for a little girl who actually wants to be part of everything you're doing, meet Shay.

Shay is sweet, affectionate, playful and wonderfully talkative. She loves attention and isn't particularly interested in pretending she doesn't. 😂 She'll play her little heart out and then happily remind you that she is still there and available for admiration.

She's the kind of kitten who brings both personality and affection into a home—and you'll never have to wonder what she's thinking because chances are Shay will tell you.

🧸 EWOK — 5 months old

Yes, she's adorable.

Yes, her name is Ewok.

And somehow she's even cuter than that combination suggests.

Ewok is a playful little girl who loves all the kitten things—but one of her best features is that you can scoop this baby up and hold her like a baby. 🥹

If your dream cat involves kitten zoomies followed by cradling a tiny furry creature in your arms and wondering how you ever lived without her, Ewok would like to submit her application.

😴 SLEEPY — 5 months old

Her name may be Sleepy, but don't let that fool you.

This girl can PLAY.

Sleepy is a fun, playful kitten who has perfected the balance between causing kitten shenanigans during the day and curling up with her human when it's time for bed.

And yes—she likes sleeping with her person. ❤️

So if you've been searching for a playmate by day and a tiny furry bed companion by night, Sleepy may have been waiting for you.

🐦 CHIRP — 8 months old

First, you're going to have to earn her.

Then you're going to wonder how you ever lived without her.

Chirp can be shy when she first meets someone, but give this girl a little time to feel safe and you'll discover an incredibly loving, talkative sweetheart underneath.

And about that name…

She actually sounds like a little bird when she talks. 🐦😂

That's how Chirp became Chirp—and it's just one of those quirky little things that makes her completely unforgettable.

She doesn't need someone to rush her. She needs someone willing to let her realize she's safe.

And once she does? That's when you get the privilege of meeting the real Chirp. 💜

Maggie is playful and independent, but one of her favorite things is simply sitting somewhere comfortable and watching the world go by outside. Birds. Squirrels. Neighbors. Suspicious leaves. Maggie intends to keep tabs on all of it.

She's perfect for someone who loves a cat with her own personality—one who enjoys you but is also perfectly capable of entertaining herself.

Give this girl a sunny window, a cozy perch and a family of her own, and Maggie will have everything she's been waiting for. 💜

This boy is ridiculously sweet, loves to play and craves attention from his humans. And when he's happy—which isn't particularly difficult to accomplish—he turns into an absolute PURRBUCKET.

Jude isn't looking for a house where he simply exists in the background. This little guy wants to be loved. He wants interaction. He wants playtime.

And obviously, he wants squeezey treats.

Lots of them.
