Our philosophy has always been Quality Over Quantity.

We specialize in personalized, one-on-one grooming services, allowing us to dedicate our time and attention to your pet. We take the time to build relationships, understand their individual needs, and create the most positive grooming experience possible.

With over 25 years of grooming experience, Reba is especially known for her compassionate approach to senior pets, nervous dogs, and those who may need a little extra patience, understanding, and individualized care.

Every dog is different, and that's exactly how we believe they should be treated!

STEP 1: Create Your Client Account

Visit our online client portal:

You will be asked to:

🐾 Complete your contact information and pet profiles.

🐾 Answer questions about your pet's grooming history, behavior, and individual needs.

🐾 Upload photos of your pet.

🐾 Upload current rabies vaccination documentation.

🐾 Review and sign our required agreements.

🐾 Securely add a credit card on file.

There is absolutely no charge to create an account!

STEP 2: Account Review

Once your account is complete, we will personally review the information you've provided to better understand your pet's individual needs and determine whether our services are the right fit for your family.

Once reviewed and approved, we will contact you with the next steps and provide access to schedule your complimentary grooming consultation!

STEP 3: Your Complimentary Grooming Consultation!

That's right! Your consultation with Reba is completely FREE!

All new grooming clients will meet personally with Reba, the owner, before scheduling their first grooming appointment.

These consultations generally take 15–30 minutes and include:

🐾 A complimentary nail trim, when safely tolerated.

🐾 An evaluation of your pet's coat, temperament, and individual grooming needs.

🐾 A conversation about grooming history, your preferences, and expectations.

🐾 An explanation of our personalized, all-inclusive grooming services.

🐾 A grooming price estimate and recommended grooming schedule.

🐾 Information about our special introductory discount for your first grooming appointment!

Why do we require consultations?

Because we don't believe in cookie-cutter grooming!

Two dogs of the same breed and size can have completely different grooming needs. Our pricing reflects the individual attention, services, grooming time, and professional care each pet requires.

For this reason, we do not provide grooming price quotes over the phone.

We believe meeting your pet personally is the best way to understand their needs, discuss your expectations, and provide an accurate estimate.

STEP 4: Scheduling Your First Grooming Appointment

Following your consultation, if you decide our services are right for your pet, we'll be happy to help you reserve your first grooming appointment!

A nonrefundable appointment retainer of 25% of the highest estimated grooming cost will be required to secure that appointment.

Your retainer is applied directly toward your first grooming service!

We will review the retainer agreement, including our cancellation and rescheduling requirements, before booking.

You are also welcome to take some time to consider your estimate before committing to an appointment. There is no obligation to schedule after your complimentary consultation!

We understand that not everyone is comfortable setting up accounts online! You're always welcome to stop by our salon, and our team will gladly help you get everything set up.

We offer flexible consultation scheduling and can often accommodate same-day or next-day appointments, depending on availability!

🐾 A Little Heart-to-Heart From a Small Business Owner 💜

I want to talk about something that happened today and has become increasingly difficult and discouraging as a small business owner.

Cancellation and no-show policies exist for a reason. They are not meant to punish anyone; they protect the people who depend on appointments to earn a living.

At Reba's A Personal Touch Pet Salon, we reserve time specifically for your pet. We send reminders, provide our policies in advance, and ask clients to confirm appointments. Unfortunately, even with those reminders and confirmations, we still experience no-shows.

When that happens, we cannot simply replace that income. The groomer showed up, prepared for the appointment, and reserved that time for your pet. They deserve to be compensated for their time.

What is especially heartbreaking is how quickly conversations can change when a cancellation or no-show fee is brought up. Sometimes concerns about a previous service are raised for the first time, leaving us confused because we were never given the opportunity to address them.

I want to make something clear: We are not above criticism. If you are unhappy with a groom, I want to know and have the opportunity to make it right. Constructive feedback helps us grow, improve, and provide better care.

We understand that emergencies happen, and we have always tried to respond with compassion. However, being a small business does not mean we can continually absorb the financial consequences of missed appointments.

After more than 25 years in this industry, I have poured my heart into creating a salon built on patience, compassion, safety, and quality care. Our motto has always been Quality over Quantity. We're cultivating relationships, not just appointments.

We respect your right to choose where you take your pet and to express concerns. We also have the right to establish reasonable business policies and expect them to be respected.

🎃🐾 GOOD MORNING — IT’S WALK-IN WEDNESDAY! 🐾🎃

Does your pup’s nails sound like little tap shoes across the floor? 👀😂 Today is the perfect day to get them taken care of!

Keeping nails at a healthy length isn’t just about appearance. Overgrown nails can make walking uncomfortable, affect traction and the way a dog stands or moves, and increase the chance of nails cracking, breaking, curling or eventually growing into the paw pad.

And just as important to us as getting those nails shorter is how your dog feels while we do it. ❤️

We’ve had dogs come through our doors absolutely terrified of nail trims, and after a few visits—with patience, consistency and a whole lot of one-on-one care—we’ve watched them become more comfortable, more trusting and SO much easier to handle. Some of those same nervous dogs now walk through our doors happy to see us. 🥹

That is what Quality over Quantity means to us. We aren’t interested in simply getting as many dogs through the door as possible. We want to build trust and make each experience better than the last.

One of the most rewarding parts of what we do has nothing to do with how many dogs we can get through the door.
It’s watching a dog learn that they are safe here. ❤️

Since moving into our Amherst location, we’ve met dogs who came through our doors absolutely terrified of having their nails done. Some were nervous about the building, nervous about us, nervous about being handled—or just had a history that made nail trims really difficult.
And then we see them again.
And again.
And little by little, something changes.
The dog that once wanted absolutely nothing to do with us starts walking through the door more confidently. The dog that struggled through the entire nail trim begins settling faster. Some of them now come in happy to see us and handle their nail trims SO much better than they did those first few visits.

That is the best part of my job.
That progress is exactly why our focus has always been quality over quantity. We aren’t trying to rush as many dogs through as possible. We want to give each dog the time, patience, handling and one-on-one care they need to build trust with us.

Sometimes that trust doesn’t happen during the first visit—and that’s okay. We get to watch it grow. 🥹❤️

Our Walk-In Wednesdays have definitely gotten a little hectic lately, so we’ll have some extra hands tomorrow to hopefully make the experience smoother and more comfortable for the dogs, their people, and our team. Our goal is to continue having the extra help available on Wednesdays going forward.

🎃👻 SPOOKY SEASON IS HERE AT REBA’S! 👻🎃

I seriously LOVE this year’s Halloween backdrop! 💜🧡 The colors are so bright, vibrant, and fun — and these pups are absolutely stealing the show. 😂🐾 From the spooky skeletons to all that gorgeous orange and purple, these photos are turning out SO CUTE!

One of my favorite parts of grooming is getting that finished photo after everyone is clean, fluffy, and looking their best. 📸✨ And our seasonal photo booth pictures are complimentary with grooming appointments!

We’ll be rocking our spooky setup throughout October, then switching things up for fall in November and Christmas in December. 🎄🍂 If you want an adorable seasonal photo of your pup, don’t wait too long to get on the schedule — holiday appointments always start filling up fast!

Our Halloween photo booth is officially up, and we are ready for all the spooky, silly, and ridiculously cute Halloween photos! 🦇🎃💀 If you want a Halloween photo of your pup, now is the time to get that grooming appointment booked.
