Ponemah Veterinary Hospital We love what we do and we are committed to providing you and your pet with an outstanding experience. Veterinary medicine is no different.

This literally drives us and means different things to each of us. In this modern world of corporate medicine, it is becoming increasingly difficult to find personalized care with a provider that takes the time to know you. As a small group with only a few doctors, we have the ability to do things as we see best for our patients. We can keep longer appointment times, carry the products we feel are best quality and operate under protocols that are the best in medicine, not the best for the board room.

And last but certainly not least we have our part-time Vet tech Alyssa:

Bio:
I grew up always having dogs and cats, so caring for them was always a fundamental part of my life. My husband had a deaf Boston Terrier named Charlie when we started dating. Wanting to help take care of Charlie and his unique needs sent me down the path of veterinary medicine, with a special interest in the psychological aspects of the human-animal bond. He has since passed, but his influence is still evident in my life.

While not having a degree in veterinary technology, I was able to achieve my CVT licensure through on-the-job experience and independent study.

My world is shared with my husband, our two Boston Terriers (Hamilton and Matessa), and our 2.5 year old daughter. Our days are filled with mischief, playtime, and lots of snacks. When not at home, I love exploring different countries, cultures, and cuisines.

When I'm not at work, you can usually find me planning my next trip, doing yoga, or hanging out with Abbi! I love exploring new places, trying new things, and making memories along the way. Adrian has always had a fondness and love for animals. She graduated from The University of New Hampshire with a degree in Veterinary Technology. Adrian has a loving husband and two beautiful cats at home named Jasper and Kit. (Her cats paid her to say that) When Adrian is not dedicating her time and passion to all of her furry friends at work, she can be found reading a good book, painting, or getting the latest drama from whatever reality television shes interested in at the time.

Next up is our Hospital Manager Marissa who is also a Certified Vet Tech:
Originally from Massachusetts, Marissa moved to New Hampshire after graduating from UNH. She has always had a special place in her heart for animals and knew from a young age that she wanted to work with them.
She started by attending Essex Agricultural and Technical High School where she majored in Veterinary Technology and Research Animal Management. While in that program, she started working as a veterinary technician and receptionist in a veterinary hospital and continued this work for 6 years while attending college.
Marissa enjoys being able to bring smiles to the faces of our clients while also getting to be involved on the medical side at times.
Marissa enjoys time with her family and she currently owns 6 cats: Bella, Ghost, Kitty B, Sonya, Binx, and Callie. She loves the outdoors and enjoys hiking, rock climbing, swimming and other adventures. In her down time she also loves playing video games and watching anime

For tech week we would like to introduce you all to our amazing techs that we have here at Ponemah. We would like to start with our head tech Abbi:

Meet Abbi, 36-year-old lead veterinary technician who balances a busy career saving paws with a lively home life. She shares her world with her husband, they're soon to be 1-year-old daughter, and a spirited 3-year-old Pomeranian named McCaffrey. When she isn't working you can find her diving into true crime docs, getting lost in video games, or counting down the days until fall- her absolute favorite season. And while she loves the cozy Autumn vibes at home, her ultimate getaway is the bright lights and energy of Las Vegas

​This week for National Vet Tech Appreciation Week, we traded in our scrubs for detective gear and leaned into some mysterious fun with a Clue-themed celebration!
​Behind every great diagnosis, successful surgery, and happy patient is an extraordinary team of Veterinary Technicians working behind the scenes. They are our sleuths, caregivers, multi-taskers, and patient advocates all rolled into one.
