PET OF THE MONTH. The Surgery, Anesthesia, & Community Outreach Program "Pet of the Month" for September is Henry, a mastiff admitted from Paws-N-Claws rescue. Before the rescue intervened, Henry was at a Kansas shelter and slated for euthanasia due to overcrowding. Unfortunately his needs had been neglected and he was emaciated. He's put on pounds during foster care, and this gentle giant shows everyone that his spirit is as big as he is! After third year veterinary students provide him with neuter surgery and preventive care this week, he'll be available for adoption through Paws-N-Claws.
