We decided to keep a male out of our SHARP SHOOTERS HANS FLYIN SOLO NA-I UT-I “HANS” x SHARP SHOOTERS ONLY THE WORTHY NA-I UT-I “HILDE” breeding, and we couldn’t be more excited about him.

Meet PRAIRIE FIRE’S UPLAND BOOGEYMAN “WICK”

Named after one of our favorite movie characters, John Wick — the Boogeyman — and destined to bring that same presence to the uplands.

To every rooster, covey, and wild bird running and hiding this fall, consider this your notice:

The Boogeyman is coming.

The Hans x Hilde litter is 18 days old today and coming along strong. All six males are growing well—their eyes are open and they’re starting to get up and move around with a bit more purpose each day.

All pups are spoken for, and we’re looking forward to seeing them head to their new homes with some great families. Good things ahead for this group.

🔥Big news from Prairie Fire Kennels!

We’re excited to announce the arrival of our Hans x Hilde litter, born on April 16, 2026!

This special litter brought us 6 beautiful males — 2 black and 4 liver.

✨ Fun fact: the statistical likelihood of a litter of 6 being all males is just 1.56%… talk about rare!

Hilde and all of the puppies are doing great — healthy, strong, and developing their bonds.

Since we weren’t planning on having quite this many males, we are now accepting reservations on 2 of these boys.

This achievement reflects the incredible instinct, drive, and trainability in these pups—and it wouldn’t have been possible without the dedication and hard work of our amazing owners. Great day in the field hunting quail behind Hilde, Ida, and Hans. The dog work was outstanding, and I was even fortunate enough to harvest a surprise rooster!

There’s no better way to start the New Year than watching great dogs do what they love. Feeling truly blessed and grateful for the dogs, the days afield, and all of the many blessings that come with it.
