Ben and Dude spent some time this week with students at ISU's Vet Med. as they prepare for their finals next week. The students loved the fur time break and the dogs loved all the attention. The boys even gave them plenty of good luck glitter to take with them. Wishing them all good results next week!

Today was the final day of adventures at the Iowa State University Library. Students so appreciated the opportunity to meet the dogs and take a study break ahead of final exams! Today’s club members who participated were Mark Boeck’s Billy, Julie Courtwright’s Dudley, and Michelle & Don Finch’s Cole & Jett! Club members who earn their Canine Good Citizen, ARL TheraPets, or Therapy Dog International certifications have the opportunity to visit Barks@Parks, as well as participate in other community outreach events!

Thursday was a blast at Iowa State University Library's ! Tanja and Casey Frye's Carlie and Reggie joined in, along with Elisabeth and Steven Lonergan's Fay! Today is the last day of Barks@Parks adventures for the semester. Club members have opportunities for dogs and handlers who earn their Canine Good Citizen, ARL TheraPets, or Therapy Dog International certifications to visit Barks@Parks, as well as participate in other community outreach events. This week, Cyclone Country Kennel Club volunteers are at at the Iowa State University Library, helping students take a study break ahead of final exams. The students are so excited to meet the dogs, visit with the owners to learn more about the training the dogs do, and learn about different dog breeds!
This event is one of the many outreach opportunities for dogs and handlers who earn their Canine Good Citizen, ARL TheraPets, or Therapy Dog International certifications.

Helping and Healing Paws Therapy Dogs will be holding a seminar in Ames, Iowa at the Cyclone County Kennel Club, 205 East 2nd Street, Ames, Iowa 50010. It will be open to both trainers and evaluators.

Past seminars have gone really well. Some great discussions, and a lot of questions were asked and answered through the seminars. I think people left with a better understanding of what HHP is all about.

We will also be doing a Meet & Greet on Friday evening (more information to come), June 19th for anyone who wants to just come out and say “Hi”. Please RSVP to Michelle Finch ([email protected]) if you want to attend the Meet and Greet.

If you want to attend the seminar on June 20th, contact Kathy Crews Founder/President/CEO of HHP - [email protected] so that we may plan for seminar materials, and food. The cost of the seminar is $75.00 to cover food and seminar materials.
