Bruizer here with a very serious announcement.
My buddy Possum, who belongs to Max Plunkett , had a tough morning. He lost his remaining eye and is dealing with some other complications, but he made it through surgery and is waking up now. That alone deserves a round of respect… hence my softer tone.

If you’ve got a minute, send up some prayers, good vibes, crossed paws, etc for Possum and his mama. Recovery is going to take some strength, patience, and probably a lot of extra treats. I am going to oversee the distribution of extra treats personally.

We’re all pulling for you, Possum. True legends, like you, buddy, don’t need to rely on sight, they just keep showing up and owning it.

Pssstttt....come here....I'm feeling much better. I know that after Mama said I needed Jesus, you all spoke to Him on my behalf. Mama is very grateful. She can tell that I don't feel ao bad now. She's the only one with thumbs around here that has any sense. The rest couldn’t tell day from night, a turd from a Tootsie Roll or which end to stick the thermometer in if me or Mama didn’t tell them. But they have been waiting on me hand and foot. Of course, that's how I'm always treated, but I'm not having to make demands or constantly glower at them. I do shoot them a glare occasionally. Standards must be maintained and more importantly, I wouldn't want them to think that I've grown fond of them.
Anyway, I just wanted to let everyone know that I'm feeling better. But let's keep that between us because I do plan on milking this for a little longer.
Now that will be all.

During our morning board meeting, Mother said that I was slowing down in my old age and expressed some concern about my health in general. The nerve of her. I assured her that while I may not be feeling my best these days that I am still very much in charge around here. She just leaned in and said that I need Jesus and then whispered to Him. Maybe yall could speak to Him too...I know Mother would appreciate it.
Now, I have bossing to do.

Got old newspapers? We'll take them. Yes, all of them. Yes, even the ones from last year. We use them for bedding and cleaning...well the staff uses them. I read them. And occasionally roll one up to bop Lorabeth Harrod McDonald or Max Plunkett just to remind them who's the boss.

It has been brought to my attention that while I was conducting important executive business in the litterbox room, a client inquired about my whereabouts and...oh, I'll just call her "Shania", cause she don't impress me much.....informed them that I was “probably in the back trying to find a treat.”

I would like to clarify a few things, ok?

#1. Shania’s pants spontaneously catch on fire at least once a week. She says it's happens when Mercury is in retrograde and causes... get this....friction between the fluorescent lights and her aura....Sure, Shania. Like everyone doesn't know why pants catch on fire.

#2. Shania will look at the haircut pictures that I show her and start dancing around like Elaine Benes and tell me that "with these bad boys (thumb ups) she is confident that she can give me the exact same haircut. She cannot. Let me assure everyone right now...confidence and capability are not...are not the same thing.

#3 I am not a forager. I do not try to find treats. I know exactly where the treats are kept. I am a highly intellectual being...my mother is a doctor...and together, we have spent many a painstaking hour training every member of my staff to recognize the difference between when I lock eyes with one of them to indicate a medicinal need for a snack and when I glare at them with utter disdain indicating my contempt. Stare. Glare. Two different things.

Now lets just hope that the others (looking at you (Lorabeth Harrod McDonald) learn from Shania's mistake....

At 11:42 AM, the National Weather Service in Peachtree City issued a Red Flag Warning for gusty winds, low relative humidity, and dry fuels, for South and east central Georgia until 7:00 PM this evening.

A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions are either occurring...or will occur within 24 hours.

💥💥💥💥💥Wildfires move at very high speeds and consume everything in their path, making them extremely dangerous so please call 911 IMMEDIATELY you see or smell smoke or observe any type of fire.

Please avoid doing things that could accidentally spark a fire, like flicking a cigarette out of a vehicle or on the ground, parking a vehicle on dry grass, using power equipment that creates sparks, chains dragging on pavement, etc.

I postponed my post lunch nap to remind all of you upright, hind-leg walkers that today is National Love Your Pet Day. Put those opposable thumbs to work giving out extra snacks & nice long rub downs...the furbabies deserve it and it will definitely make your baby talk and constant photo shoots more tolerable.

A complete waste of time showing Max Plunkett a picture of the haircut you want because you're gonna get a high and tight. I would have scratched her if I hadn't had to have a snack. She took so long, my blood sugar dropped. I'm gonna make her express a**l glands for the rest of the week.

Ok, all of you tall, loud, mammals, it’s time for your annual reminder that Thanksgiving is not an excuse to poison your pets.

The following rules are simple enough that if you can read them, you can follow them.

• No turkey bones. They splinter. I’d rather not listen to the panic.

• No onions, garlic, or anything you “seasoned.” Your cooking is hazardous enough already.

• No grapes, raisins, or chocolate. Yes, your fruitcake is dangerous.

• No fatty scraps. Pancreatitis is a holiday tradition we can all skip.

• Watch the trash. Dogs will dive in and the cats will supervise. It tends to lead to trouble.



Also, I have instructed my two-legged underlings to close at NOON on Wednesday, November 26th and reopen on Monday, December 1. The change to their routine is confusing enough for them so please plan your meds, food, and last-minute visits accordingly.

And Happy Thanksgiving, I suppose. May your day be joyful and my nap schedule uninterrupted.
