First of all, thank you to everyone that participated in our poll about chicks. Well, your votes are in and we listened! We have selected seven breeds of chick for fall based on your feedback. The following is our WISH LIST that we sent off to the hatchery. We will update you as we get closer to our September delivery dates on the status of the chicks we have ordered. Happy Wednesday American Fork IFA family,

Now that the chicks are done for a while, we have made room for more family fun! We have brought out our roping dummies! After the fun we had with our Rope Off this month, we just couldn't put the dummies away!

Come on in and try your hand at roping. We have the ropes and the dummies, all we need is ropers!!!

Happy Tuesday American Fork IFA family,

I don't know if you are participating in our Biggest Tomato Contest, but for those of you that have planted your Big Zac tomato and are wondering, "What now?" I've got your back!

After picking our Garden Center Manager's brain (many of you know Herb), I now know to look for a "super blossom." What is that, you might ask?? Well, I've got a picture to show you and guidance on what to look for and what to do when you find one...

A super blossom is a cluster of blossoms that grow together to make one HUGE tomato. In order for this to occur, THE STEMS fuse to make one large branch. If you look on the attached picture, the stem on this tomato looks to have 2-3 stems fused and kinda resembles a flat data cable. The adjacent tomato stems look like traditional cylindrical stems.

So, what do we do when we find those "super blossoms"? If you are looking for that super tomato, now is the time to cull any other fruit from your plant, cull unnecessary greenery, and provide fertilizer, sunshine and encouragement.
