VIEWER DISCRETION IS ADVISED

This is Yana.

Yana came into the PETS Clinic of Amarillo for a routine spay. During her examination prior to surgery the technicians noted some abdominal swelling leading the surgery team to believe she was possibly pregnant.

They were in for a 2.6 pound surprise!

Yana had a uterine infection called a pyometra causing the uterus to fill with pus.

The common side effects are lethargy, vomiting, diarrhea, fever, vaginal discharge, or in Yana's case, abdominal swelling.

Oddly enough, the easiest way to treat a pyometra is a single surgery, despite being a bit more complex spay and some antibiotics.

Yana is now healing from surgery and is risk free from pregnancies, heats and Pyometras!

Meet Phoenix. This 108lb, big ball of energy, and so much love to give, came in for his neuter. Even these gentle giants need a little comfort during their time with us.

Phoenix was cozy during recovery with his new friend, Triceratops, that we provided for him. Phoenix was very excited that he got to take his new friend home with him. Dad was extremely grateful that we took such great care of his boy.
