The weanlings have arrived for this week's "Young Horse Handling" class, where we halter start untouched weanlings/yearlings. Absolutely LOVE this class. We are so blessed.

As soon as Brent's traveling clinics end, halter-starting season begins. Here's part of this weanling's first leading lesson.

Home Sweet Home! Brent’s such a workaholic that it’s not often you catch him crashed out on the couch! Good thing he’s got Annie around to teach him how to properly kick back, relax, and take a good ol’ fashioned nap. She’s got this whole doing-nothing thing down to a science! 😂 🐾

Check out the guys's T-shirt in the 1st photo 🤣. And just like that, Brent’s final clinic of the travel season is in the books! Brent's 2027 schedule will be out soon. We’re grateful beyond words to each of you who showed up, put in the work, and made the effort to become better for your horses. That’s what it’s all about — learning, growing, and being willing to do better by the horses who depend on us. Thank you for another wonderful season out on the road. We’ve made some great memories, and we’re already looking forward to seeing y’all again next year! Until then, keep learning, keep listening to your horses, and keep striving to be better for them.

Annie did her “Daddy Dance” when Brent came home yesterday afternoon! If she was a bucking horse, do you think you could ride that! 😂. Brent gets to stay home for a whole week before he saddles up again and heads out to the NEXT CLINIC in GREENVILLE, TX, October 9–11.
For now, though, Annie has her Daddy back where he belongs, and she intends to make the most of it!

Here are the weanlings we'll halter start in Brent's October Young Horse Handling class (halter-start untouched weanling/yearlings). Right now, they’re still hanging out with their Momma’s, doing what babies do. But before too long, they’ll be weaned, ready to leave the herd, and grow up to be BIG KIDS!

Last week in GA… 5:30 a.m., and Brent was already up cooking venison and potatoes for breakfast for himself and a friend. Because apparently, that’s what cowboys do before most of the world has even had their first cup of coffee. 😄
