Sad news everyone...
Just found out a friend, Steve, from Kalispell Montana, lost his service dog last week😔. Mitch was 10 and helped service Steve many years. Steve is a war vet and lost his right leg and most of his right arm in an explosion years ago. Steve informed me since 2019 he's battled with insurance providing service dog assistance. Here's the deal...a service dog will be paired with Steve and this process takes weeks of on site pairing with his new companion. Everything paid for EXCEPT transportation and personal needs while there. The cost of transportation round trip for him alone is $1200. The cost for service dog fight is $600. Unfortunately this is part of the battle insurance does not cover. Steve is alone.. No family.. And feels lost right now. My promise to Steve is I will do everything i can to help out. The new addition to our family is here.
Meet Amelia.
She's 7 weeks old and comes from a great blood line of American Pit Bull Terrier/Bully.
Amelia will be growing up trained in service dog instruction and helper dog disposition.
She's already a blessing to our family.
