Hello, my name is Kieara Johnson
I began working at the Alva Veterinary Clinic in 2010, and over the past 16 years I've had the privilege of caring for thousands of animals and getting to know so many wonderful families in our community. Working with your pets has never been just a job to me, it's something I truly love.
I am honored to be purchasing the Alva Veterinary Clinic, and I am committed to continuing the services our community has relied on for generations, including dog boarding and grooming.
The boarding kennel has been an important part of the bussiness. Each year, it provides over 2,000 overnight stays, giving pet owners a safe, trusted place for their dogs while they're on vacation, facing family emergencies, traveling for work, attending sporting events, remodeling their homes, or dealing with life's unexpected moments.
Unfortunately, the future of the boarding kennel is now uncertain. A neighboring property owner to the west has requested that kennel operations not continue, despite more than 70 years of service to this community. It's also worth noting that the neighbor never made any complaints, and even used our grooming/vetting/boarding services until he found out I would be the one purchasing the property, not them.
Im asking for your support when this matter comes before the City Council.

If this clinic has ever cared for your pet, if you've ever boarded or groomed your dog here, or if you believe our community should continue to have a local boarding facility, I would be grateful if you would attend and show your support.
I hope to continue serving this community and your pets for many years to come.
