Luther enjoyed his field trip to Bass Pro and the Cyclone Kennel Club Dog Show today. He was very well behaved. At this time I wouldn't consider him a detection dog candidate as he is more medium drive. He also prefers people not reach over him to pet him. Could he do the work? Yes, but he will most likely get passed up in a selection process. If anyone would like to evaluate him for this you are welcome too, but we feel we have produced better dogs for the professional industry than him. He could possibly make a good allergen detection dog. That said he would make an excellent pet and/or sport dog. He loose leashed walked through Bass Pro. He sat, down and stayed amid distractions. He even flattened himself out when I was looking at things. He hasn't been on birds since ~8 weeks. If someone is interested in this we could evaluate him for it.

Sometimes the hardest decision to make is the right one. It so hard because we love these guys so much. You may remember Luther (formerly DiNozzo) from our D litter in 2025? After about 8 months with his new family his human had to admit it wasn't working out for them and they returned him this past weekend. He is crate and potty trained and has a whole list of things he knows. We are giving him a chance to settle in and show off all his skills, but he will be available. If you know anyone looking for a young adult male GSP he maybe their match made in heaven. ❤️

We've been so busy training we haven't posted many updates. We are hoping to certify in 2026 so we are uping the training challenge. This movie theater did that!
