Did You Know? Your Long Line Doesn't Have to Have a Standard Handle!

Yep, you read that correctly!

When most people think of a long line, they picture a standard handle at the end. But there are actually several different options available depending on how you plan to use it.

✨ Handle Options:• Standard handle• No handle (commonly called a drag line) — great for dogs that will be dragging the line behind them, as there's less chance of it getting caught on things.• O-ring at the end• O-ring + removable handle• I'm even working on an option that allows the line to drag freely but can also be attached to something you wear for a hands-free style long line!

📏 Available LengthsLong lines come in a variety of lengths, with our most popular being 15 feet.

💪 Material OptionsAvailable in both:• Standard Biothane• Heavy Duty Biothane

📐 Widths Available• 1/2" — Recommended for small dogs, dogs that don't pull, or even adventurous cats. This is my least requested width.• 5/8" — Good middle ground• 3/4" — My most popular option and a great choice for many dogs, especially those that will be putting pressure on the line (tracking, search and rescue, etc.).

🎨 Color OptionsLong lines can be made in all of our standard Biothane colors!

Want a little extra flair? I can add a pop of printed Biothane or a second color to the handle and the section near the clip. At this time, I cannot make an entire long line from printed Biothane.

✨ Vinyl PersonalizationI can add vinyl to long lines, but there are a few limitations:• I cannot place vinyl right near the clip or near the handle.• If the line will regularly be dragged through grass, dirt, brush, etc., I cannot guarantee how long the vinyl will last.• For search-and-rescue style use or situations where you're primarily holding the line, I can add vinyl to the handle area or end section where it will experience less wear.

📸 Pictured is a 30-foot Heavy Duty Biothane long line in 3/4" width with an O-ring and removable handle. The removable handle can also double as a convenient traffic lead when needed!

This long line is shown in Grey Biothane. Keep in mind that this particular grey is more of a beautiful blue-grey than a true neutral grey.

𝗠𝗮𝘆 𝗶𝘀 𝗠𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗵 💚

Not every struggle is loud. Some of them look like showing up anyway. Taking care of everyone else while running on empty. Answering “I’m fine” because it feels easier than explaining what’s really going on.

Mental health doesn’t always look like a breaking point. Sometimes it looks like:
• snapping over small things
• feeling constantly overwhelmed
• being exhausted no matter how much you rest
• losing motivation for things you used to love
• withdrawing, even from people you care about

A lot of people are quietly fighting battles you’d never guess.

If there’s one thing dogs remind us, it’s how powerful simple presence can be. They don’t ask you to explain. They don’t judge your bad days. They don’t expect you to have it all together.

𝗧𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝘆.

Whether it’s a wagging tail when you walk through the door, a quiet head resting on your lap, or a reason to get outside for a walk when you don’t feel like moving, they show up in the smallest, most meaningful ways.

We can learn a lot from that.

Check on your people. Send the message you’ve been thinking about. Ask twice when someone says they’re okay. Be patient. Be present. Just listen.

And if you’re the one struggling, this matters too:

You are 𝗻𝗼𝘁 weak for feeling this way. You are 𝗻𝗼𝘁 a burden for needing support. 𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗱𝗼𝗻’𝘁 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗴𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗶𝘁 𝗮𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗲.

Take things one step at a time, even if that step is just getting out of bed, drinking some water, or taking your dog outside for fresh air.

ANNOUNCEMENT‼️

Biothane braids are officially here 🤎✨

It took us a little time to perfect these, but we’re SO happy with how they turned out. Braiding adds such a clean, elevated touch while still keeping everything you love about Biothane. Durable, waterproof, and easy to clean.

Please note: due to the slit used for braiding, these collars are slightly less water resistant than standard Biothane styles.

Right now, braided collars are available in 3/4” and 1” widths (more sizes may come later 👀). I am experimenting with 5/8” and 1.5” as well—just taking my time with them, since I want to make sure they’re just as functional as they are cute. I’m not sure yet if 5/8” is thick enough for a secure braid, and with 1.5” I want to make sure it holds its shape properly.
