🇺🇸❤️ A wonderful initiative by Pretty Alright Breakfast Club to give back to those who have given so much for us. If you’re able, please consider donating and helping make a difference for our local veterans! 🇺🇸

“In 2022, when I moved back to Albany, the Veterans Miracle Center was there for me, providing a warm jacket and clothing when I needed it most. As a disabled veteran, I know firsthand how much their kindness and generosity mean, especially when I had nothing” - Ben Growick

Ben is one of our employees, a Purple Heart veteran, and with his help we’re working together to help fill bathrooms for veterans. We could not be more proud and honored to have Ben on our team, and to support those who supported him! We will be collecting donations at the diner until November 17th. Thank you all, and thank you Ben for your service! 🫡

🐾 New Client Update 🐾

As we head into our busiest boarding season of the year, Happy Tails will not be accepting new clients through the end of August.

Our priority during this time is providing the highest level of care and attention to the dogs already entrusted to us.

We look forward to welcoming new clients again starting in September! If you’d like to be among the first contacted when we begin scheduling Meet & Greets again, please send us a message and we’ll happily add you to our new client waitlist.

Thank you for your understanding and for supporting our small business. We can’t wait to meet you and your pups this fall! 🐶

🇺🇸 Happy Fourth of July! 🇺🇸

Today we proudly celebrate 250 years of American independence—a milestone honoring the courage, sacrifice, and enduring spirit that have shaped our nation.

❤️From everyone at Happy Tails, we wish you and your family a safe, joyful, and memorable Independence Day.

🤍As you gather with loved ones, we also remember and thank the servicemen and women, veterans, and all who have helped protect the freedoms we enjoy.

💙If your pups are celebrating at home, don’t forget that fireworks can be overwhelming. Keeping them indoors, and providing a quiet, comfortable place to relax can help make the day less stressful.

Here’s to celebrating our country’s past, appreciating the freedoms we have today, and looking forward to the future.

❤️🤍💙 God Bless America, and Happy Fourth of July!

☀️ Heat Advisory Update ☀️

We’ve had several people ask, so we wanted to reassure everyone:

Yes—all of our dog areas are air conditioned!

During periods of extreme heat, our daycare and boarding dogs spend their playtime indoors in our climate-controlled playrooms. Outdoor time is limited to supervised potty breaks so everyone stays safe and comfortable.

The health and safety of every dog in our care is always our top priority, especially during hot weather.

Stay cool out there! 🐾❤️

☀️🐾 Making new friends in the sunshine!

A beautiful day at Happy Tails! From sniffing out new adventures to making new friends, our spacious grass play yards give dogs plenty of room to explore, socialize, and enjoy the fresh air.

One thing we love about our outdoor spaces, this one in particular, is that they allow new dogs to be introduced gradually, at their own pace. There’s no pressure to jump right into the action—just plenty of room to observe, build confidence, and make connections when they’re ready.

Every day is a chance for new friendships, wagging tails, and outdoor adventures! 💚

The Animal Hospital is an amazing team, and have always been so supportive. The care they showed us during our most difficult time last Monday was more than I could have imagined.

When you lose a pet, it leaves such a void, but it helps when you have a good team on your side.

❤️Remembering Butters, and all those we love who have crossed the Rainbow Bridge 🌈🐾

Everyone at The Animal Hospital is absolutely wonderful. We’ve been going there for many years, and unfortunately within the last few months, we found out that our beloved pup, Butters, had a mass on his spleen. He declined quickly but the staff was there supporting us every step of the way. Sometimes it was just me calling with questions and needing emotional support. Other times it was me wanting to have him checked quickly to see if we needed immediate action or not and them getting me in the same day.

When the day came that our old man stopped eating, couldn’t control his bladder, and could barely get around on his own, they walked us through every option, while making us feel like it was our own well-informed decision, without feeling rushed off the phone. Once we did need to bring him in so he could peacefully pass, they let us be outside in the sunshine (his favorite place) in his own bed with us right there with him. The care and support towards us and Butters, too, was tremendous. I truly cannot say enough nice things even though it was one of our worst days.

A few more acts of kindness, they made multiple paw print cards 🐾 so that each one of our kiddos could have their own, and sent flowers during our difficult time. They fit in perfectly next to his picture. ❤️
