👻 Sunny’s Spooky Season Debut! 🎃

Sunny has been adjusting to his new life as the kitten of a toddler and a vet mom, and he’s fitting right in with the rest of the pack! 🐾 Between all the chaos, cuddles, and new adventures, he’s settling in like a champ… and now he’s getting ready for his very first Halloween! 🎃👻

Of course, being part of our family means he had to try on a few costumes. 😂

🐾 A little drive-thru fun with some of our favorite four-legged friends! 🐾

We had the BEST time teaming up with Chick-fil-A and getting to meet so many wonderful families.

We passed out treats for the pups and kitties, made lots of new friends, and got to chat with so many of you about the pets who are such a big part of your families. Moments like this are exactly why we love being part of the Alpharetta community. 🥰

Thank you to everyone who stopped by to say hello — we loved seeing all of your smiling faces and wagging tails!

We had SO much fun last week at Last Splash Puppy Bash! Thank you for letting us spend the evening with all of you and your adorable pups!

One of our favorite parts of events like this is meeting so many new families and getting to introduce you to our team.

🌸 ONE YEAR OF LOTUS. 🌸

Today, Lotus Animal Hospital officially turns ONE! 🥹💕

It’s hard to put into words what this past year has meant to me. When I opened Lotus, I had a dream of creating a veterinary hospital that felt a little different — a place where pets receive the same love, attention, and care that I would want for my own.

A place inspired by my soul dog, Stitch. 🐾

But a dream only becomes a reality because people believe in it. And so many of you have.

To every family who has trusted us with your pets, recommended us to a friend, left us a review, cheered us on, shared our posts, or simply walked through our doors — thank you. You have been such an important part of our first year, and I am incredibly grateful for each and every one of you.

This year has brought challenges, lessons, growth, lots of puppy kisses and kitty purrs, and more special moments than I could have imagined. Most of all, it has brought us a community that I am so proud to be a part of.

And to my family, friends, and incredible team — thank you for believing in me, supporting me, encouraging me, and standing beside me through all of the highs and lows of this first year. There were definitely moments when this dream felt scary and overwhelming, and I could not have done it without you. ❤️

Thank you for helping me bring this dream to life.

Here’s to Year Two — to our longtime Lotus families, the new families we haven’t met yet, and all of the wonderful pets who will become part of our story along the way.

We truly can’t wait to see what this next year brings. 🌸🐾

🌸 What Stitch Taught Me… Confessions of a Vet Mom

Does balancing a toddler and pets ever stress you out?

Because… same. 😂 You are definitely not alone.

My son is active, curious, and very rambunctious, and while our pets are an important part of our family, keeping everyone safe takes some intention.

Here are a few things we do in our house:

🐾 We teach him that cats and dogs have different boundaries.
Cats tend to need a little more space and gentler interactions, so we work on being calm and respectful around them.

🐶 He only plays with one or two dogs at a time.
When multiple dogs get excited together, that energy can escalate quickly. Even dogs who normally get along can have a disagreement when excitement levels get high.

👀 We never leave him alone with the dogs.
Not because I don't trust our dogs—but because they're animals, he's a toddler, and neither one can be expected to understand every situation perfectly. Supervision is our responsibility.

🧠 We pay attention to body language.
We're teaching him that if a pet walks away, seems uncomfortable, or doesn't want to interact, we respect that.

It's about knowing your pets, knowing your child, setting everyone up for success, and stepping in before a situation gets out of hand.

Because our pets can't always tell us when they've had enough, and toddlers are still learning how to listen.

This handsome guy is Kerby Joseph—yes, he’s named after the football player! 🏈

We’re not sure if he’s here to tackle the competition or head back to the rainforest… but either way, those markings are definitely MVP-worthy. 🏆

Come celebrate the end of summer with us, as we join the city of Milton and our friends at Countryside Pet Estates at a pup-tastic pooly paw-ty! 🐾☀️

We will be there with giveaways, fun activities, and a first aid tent staffed by Dr. Stephens and the Lotus Animal Hospital team.

If any minor injuries or concerns pop up during the event, we’re here to help with basic first aid and quick assessments. Pets needing more advanced care will be directed to the appropriate next step.

Come say hi, grab some goodies, and let your pups make a splash 💦
