We are so excited to share this! Thanks to Atlanta Braves player Michael Harris II for making this happen for a very deserving kid. ❤️🦮
When Michael walked into the Braves game, he thought he was there to just watch baseball…
Instead, he got the surprise of a lifetime.
Michael, who lost his leg to osteosarcoma, learned that he’ll be receiving his very own service dog thanks to Braves star Michael Harris and the team at Canine Assistants!!
The gift has been months in the making.
Michael Harris funded a service dog through Canine Assistants, the incredible organization whose facility dogs brought comfort to Michael during long hospital stays.
Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta Therapy Dog Blanche even helped deliver the surprise.
If you’ve ever met Michael, you know he’s a fighter.
He loves jokes, loves dogs, and has faced every challenge with courage and determination.
In just a few weeks, he’ll head to Canine Assistants, where his future service dog will choose him.
The timing couldn’t be more meaningful…
Next week, Michael returns to Florida for scans and his next personalized vaccine treatment.
What an incredible gift for a remarkable kid!!
Wishing Michael good news, safe travels, and the perfect match with his new best friend ❤️
