One thing we focus on is making sure a dog’s down is comfortable and sustainable. While some dogs naturally offer a more upright “sphinx” position, we often encourage them to relax onto a hip so they’re more comfortable holding the behavior for longer periods of time.

AJ is also showing off a beautiful implied stay here, remaining in position until he hears his release word, “free.”

Looking for a fun way to mentally tire out your dog? 🐾👃

Our Nose Work classes are one of our favorite activities because they allow dogs to do what they were born to do—use their noses!

In Beginner Nose Work, we start with simple box games using food rewards. By the end of the course, dogs are searching for a specific target odor and learning how to clearly indicate when they’ve found it. In Intermediate Nose Work, we introduce new odors and more challenging searches to continue building their skills.

Nose Work is an incredible outlet for mental stimulation, confidence building, decompression, and problem-solving. We especially love it for working breeds, high-energy dogs, fearful dogs, and even reactive dogs because it gives them a productive job to focus on while building confidence in the process.

Plus, it’s a ton of fun for both dogs and their people!

It may seem simple, but it’s a huge safety skill. “Wait” can be used at doorways, crate doors, car doors, gates, and even at the top of the stairs!!

Teaching dogs to pause and look to you for direction helps build impulse control, manners, and safer everyday habits!

Rockin’ for Rescues was a success!!

We had so much fun celebrating with Barkville Dog Rescue as they marked an incredible milestone—10 years of rescue work and more than 3,000 dogs saved. What an amazing accomplishment and a testament to the impact they’ve had on so many dogs and families!

Thank you for allowing us to be a small part of the celebration, and thank you to our amazing clients who came out and spent the evening with us—we loved seeing everyone!

Our team had an absolute blast, and we’re looking forward to continuing to support Barkville and the incredible work they do. 🐶

Socialization field trip day at the Alpharetta Arts Streetfest 🎨🐾

Our trainers spent the day working through distractions, confidence building, engagement, and neutrality around all the fun sights, sounds, smells, and crowds. Safe to say the dogs had a blast… and definitely thought every food booth was for them!!

Meet our new foster dog, Bobby!!

Bobby is a 1-year-old beagle with the sweetest personality. Beagles are known for being incredibly friendly, social dogs and Bobby is exactly that — he loves people, loves other dogs, and wants to be involved in absolutely everything going on around him.

He’s active, goofy, curious, and spends his days here on the farm running around with the dogs, sniffing every inch of the property, and making sure nobody is having fun without him. Typical beagle behavior.

Bobby’s ideal home is probably one that appreciates a little personality, a little comedy, and a dog that believes every walk should be treated like a full FBI investigation.

He’s currently located at our facility in Milton, and we’d love for you to come meet him and learn a little more about his personality. And if you’re not quite ready to add another dog to your family yet, your pup can still come make a best friend out of Bobby during daycare or boarding! ❤️❤️
