Daisy is an approximately 6‑year‑old Shih Tzu/Yorkie mix with a gentle, joyful nature. Her energy level is low to moderate, and she enjoys going for walks, exploring, playing tug, and chasing toys. Daisy is an affectionate, easygoing little dog who loves being near her people and has a naturally sweet, loving disposition.
She is house trained and crate trained. Her history with other dogs is limited but positive, and she has no known history with cats or children. Daisy is seeking a calm, safe home where she can receive consistent care and attention. She does best with regular potty breaks every few hours.
Daisy has typical small dog joint and ACL issues, as well as luxating patellas, that require conservative management. She will need an adopter who can maintain her weight, provide moderate and controlled exercise, and continue her joint supplements. She currently weighs about 11.9 lbs and should lose approximately half a pound to reach her ideal target.
Daisy is sensitive to thunderstorms and fireworks, and copes best with medication. She grew up in a loving home where her guardian was home all the time. So we are seeking a family who can provide companionship and routine to help her settle into her new surroundings.
References and home check will be required, and a donation to a designated 501(c)(3) rescue will be required to adopt Daisy.
