Our rescue sanctuary needs a tractor.

After years of constant mechanical failures with the Mahindra tractor we purchased brand new in 2018, we have officially reached the point where we can no longer depend on it.

This tractor has spent more time broken down and in repair shops than it has working for the rescue.
Most recently, it underwent a major transmission repair that required the tractor to literally be split into two separate halves. Since getting it back, it has continued to fail with one issue after another. Last week we were told by our local Mahindra dealer that the parts needed for the newest repair are not even available through Mahindra.
We are now completely out of commission.
Unfortunately, this has happened in the middle of one of the biggest projects our rescue has ever taken on preparing and restructuring our property for Pig City and future sanctuary expansion.

Without a tractor:
• Hay cannot easily be moved
• Fencing and pasture work slows down
• Property prep comes to a halt
• Daily rescue operations become physically overwhelming

For our rescue, a tractor is not a luxury. It is essential equipment.
We are not asking anyone to solve this problem for us. We are simply doing everything we can to move forward. We are actively fundraising, searching for sponsorships, looking for discounts, and trying to find the best possible deal on a reliable replacement tractor.

We are also continuing to contact Mahindra regarding the years of issues we have experienced with this tractor since it was brand new. We believe our story deserves to be heard.

A GoFundMe and additional fundraising efforts are now being put together. The type of tractor we need for the rescue is a major expense, but we are determined to keep pushing forward for the animals who depend on us every single day.

Absolutely disgusting what happened to this beautiful senior pet pig .. Gemma got out and while her family was out searching for her some evil human took her and was killing her to use for memorial bbq… I can’t even read about it… it’s just so heartbreaking. She wasn’t a meat production pig, she was senior age mini pet pig and it was obvious!, and she’s was her family’s beloved pet for 11 years! The things I hope karma does to that person… at the very least hopefully the authorities identify them, arrest them, & I hope they get explosively sick from both ends for days from their meal while they’re sitting in a jail holding cell.
If you come across the post about this, the family is asking for people to contact the news to bring more light to the story.  This occurred in Florida. Does this pertain to this rescue and sanctuary here in Michigan? No it does not but we do so much rescue a deal with so many nasty terrible human beings. It’s just another story and I feel like bringing it to light. So many fools get on posts making their bacon and ham and barbecue jokes about pigs and their ignorance about talking about a PET pig.

🚨Do we have anyone near AuGres or willing to go to AuGres to pick up a potbelly pig TODAY? She’s out of time & we haven’t have a driver.

Maybe we have someone with ability to get her today lives up near there? AuGres is about an hour &50 minutes from us. Let me also clarify… I don’t mean any has to keep her … Get her and bring her here or if someone can get her and hold her for us… It only takes a van or SUV not a trailer or anything big .. with an XL dog crate. We can provide crate.

Well.. todays warm day reminded us we need to start packing in the warm day things for the pigs... well everyone but especially the pigs. We need endless supplies of these things for them as there are nearly 40 to cover each day... there is a Kroger in delivering distance as well as Meijer, Walmart, Costco, and Sams Club deliver to us out here via instacart.
