Took a little break from the training life and went out to Montana to help the McKamey Ranch round up their cattle for the upcoming winter. Beautiful state and such an awesome opportunity.

Had a surprise tag along on this 3 Year old’s first ride on trail! Little filly just didn’t want to stay home.

I can’t thank everyone enough for all the support you’ve given Tempest along her training journey. I know it’s a little late, but I thought would share our freestyle performance at the training competition for those of you who couldn’t make it.

She placed 1st in the Technical and Freestyle runs, 1st in the overall placing of Division 1 and even won a “Most Captivating Performance” award!

She has found a lovely home with a great owner. Couldn’t be any happier with the turnout!

Down to less than a week until the big day! Enjoying every last minute I have with Tempest! Truly amazed at how far she has come in such a short amount of time.

Don’t forget to fill out your Adoption Application and Bidder Form if you’d like to bid on Tempest or any of the other amazing horses at the event.

Tossed the bridal today! This marks her first time ever performing solely off of leg cues. Definitely can improve but I’d say she’s on the right track!

(July 12th Update)

With 2 weeks to go, I've been working on fine tuning all of the skills that we've been working on, throughout the time we've had together. Some of the recent new things she's been introduced to include: pulling barrels and wooden planks and having various riders of different levels of experience ride her.

Some of her strong capabilities are properly transitioning through walk, trot, and canter, leading and following on trail, crossing all sorts of obstacles, moving off of leg pressure, and not reacting to various distractions I throw at her.

She has been getting better at learning to neck rein, laying down with a cue, and staying composed herding cattle.

Overall, Tempest has exceeded my expectations in multiple ways. She has transformed into quite an enjoyable horse to work with. She has given me all of the "try" I could ever ask for. As of right now, I think she would work well with a beginner accompanied by a trainer or even a solo intermediate rider.

I cannot wait to see the next chapter that life throws at her. I'm extremely confident that she would excel in any discipline she's put in.

I would be more than happy to continue working with Tempest. Located in Alma, WI.
