Go Marty! 🎉

Matt and I took our best boy Marty (JC MISTER MOORE) for a solo trip to the Horse Park of New Jersey at Stone Tavern, Inc. for their open cross country schooling today and were very impressed by this handsome young man’s confidence and enthusiasm!

This was Marty’s 2nd time cross country schooling and it’s definitely safe to say he has found his second career. We have our homework (for both of us!) and will be working on the Dressage and Stadium Jumping portions in preparation for the next unrecognized event in October where Marty will make his grand entrance as an eventer!

We couldn't be more proud of Marty (JC: Mister Moore adopted through Turning For Home) at the New Jersey Thoroughbred Spectacular at the Dream Park!

Ridden beautifully by Willie Horzepa , Marty competed in the Cross Rail Jumper Division winning a second and two blues earning CHAMPION out of 7 horses! 🥈🥇🥇🏆

Thank you, Willie, for being a wonderful partner to Marty today. We are so grateful for Marty to learn the ropes from one of the best and are so excited for what's ahead!

Heat + humidity can become dangerous fast. Before you tack up, check the heat index… not just the temperature.

Your horse relies on you to make the safest decision. Ride during the coolest parts of the day, keep fresh water available, and don’t hesitate to skip a ride when conditions aren’t safe. There will always be another day to train.

Confidence doesn’t come from perfection.

✨ What’s one goal you’re working toward this week?

My personal goal is to work on correcting my anterior pelvic tilt through strengthening and chiropractic work to better my riding position.
