About a year ago we did our first event in partnership with Sherman Animal Shelter & USA Strength and this Saturday June 27th we are BACK AGAIN 10:30-12:00pm!

Almost a year ago we showed some shelter dogs an incredible time out of the shelter environment and one even got adopted later that day!

Weights and spirits were lifted by a community of incredible humans, but it also connected us to the shelter we now work to serve 3-5 days weekly.

Since we started with Sherman Animal Services we’ve encouraged them to install a communication board in adoption avenues to aide staff and volunteers. We discussed the benefits of a shelf for volunteers to use inside of adoption avenues instead of a small basket. We had an amazing generous human donate a temp sink for sanitation on top of so many items from our shelter support Amazon wishlist. We’ve even raised $1000+ at our first tats4tails event for them!

However what left one of the biggest impacts was earlier this year, just before we received our final letter of approval confirming we are a 501(c)(3) non-profit dog rescue, was hearing they hadn’t seen dogs saved in those numbers in the past.

We have been able to help so many dogs, and it’s thanks to the support of you, of businesses we partner with, of the shelters that trust us.

Events destroy our batteries (we are dog people) but we will keep hosting them with hopes we can keep growing and building momentum not as a rescue organization but as advocates for a long-term solution that can help end the shelter crisis!

Allie the black Dane-mix pup that has my heart on cloud9 everytime we spend time together! She is a fast learner and super fan of friends!

Fletcher the brown and black Dutch shepherd mix is athletic, unique looking and a good time, with his personality we expect total enjoyment from his adopters.

These three are ALL in need of a loving home and we cannot believe they have been waiting so long 🥹 please Sherman Texas Community let’s end the wait and give them their adoption dates!

Everytime we get updates or tagged in updates it genuinely brings us joy, we shove our phones at each other and yell “AHH THEY ARE DOING SO GOOD” everytime 🥹 thank you adopters and fosters for all you do.

Grove Hill Memorial Cemetery 📍 3920 Samuell Blvd, Dallas TX

“…while visiting my dad’s site at the cemetery there are these two adorable babies just roaming around. I think they may have been dumped.”

“Yeah and they honestly seemed like they would’ve jumped right into the truck if we offered. I can’t imagine they’ve been there too long.”

Animal Control has been alerted but as a community can anyone step up for two friendly medium sized pups?

Seems like food and some loop leashes would suffice with rounding them up.

If caught not by animal control or a rescue take them to a vet or spot to scan for a chip for starters, if no owner reach out to organizations and shelters, if you can foster offer before their stray hold is over to help them improve their chances of finding a loving home! (Or be the loving home)

Thank you Battle Axe Barbell for showing Rebeka and Ghost a great time even if they didn’t find a home! The love they received was more than they may have ever experienced!

How they both did:

• Both where friendly to all strangers
• Both enjoy ac over outdoor tx air
• Both did okay with a dog off leash around then

• Rebeka had a preference for the ac, a soft blanket, and affection being brought to her. She was even content just laying on a blanket while everyone conversed around her

• Ghost was open to seeking love out, giving everyone the equal opportunity to enjoy some therapeutic pets and cuddles

Transport notes: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Both of them just ride is silence, no whining, no constant movement, just “oh okay” lays down and chills energy

We had our little weinie dog with us and neither seemed to care 🤣 even if she barked

Both are vetted, vaccinated, & chipped

Ghost has treatable heartworms that don’t stop his jive, but will simply require a lower energy start while he gets treated (a lot of crate rest)

Rebeka has not shown issues medically to our knowledge

Billiard, a beautiful bully that knows how to love, listen, and lick. Handsome, polite in kennel and out.

These sweet dogs are all adoptable through Sherman Animal Shelter and they are all hoping to find their forever loving home, even if they don’t get to come to the big birthday bash!

Adoptable ghost did a dramatic reenactment of Tessa after looking at the number of events coming up 🥹 help us make the work worth it, as long as dogs get saved we will survive
