Major Updates for everyone here who follows the Darkside!

We have added a German Shorthaired Pointer to our ranks which some of you know. Obito, aka Obi is an AKC and UKC Champion with few showings. He was mostly owner handled in AKC, with our great friend Alexys who helped lead him to his majors to finish out his title! Obi is currently in training and will be completing his health testing this year!

Dala, our sweet little homebred girl will be taking a break from showing for a while. She has over enough points and 2 comp wins in UKC leaving her with only needing one. With that being said we will be doing sports in the meantime, Rally, Obedience, Nosework, FastCat, FETCH, and maybe if ready start her hunt tests. She has passed her OFA Heart and we have plans to set up her eyes and Pennhips soon as well.

Ken, our big goofy homebred boy is now not only a UKC Champion but is also AKC pointed. So proud of him and his owner for working so hard towards their goals. Plans for health testing him are in the talks. Will all depend on public interest in him.

Personal news...
I am pregnant and due in December. This came as a surprise since it should not have been possible for multiple reasons. With that being said that is why we are on pause for showing Dala for a while.

I do plan for 2026 to be filled with sports for both Obi and Dala, and maybe back into the ring to finish Dala in ukc and possibly work on Obi's UKC grand. Also while I will have a new human addition, we are also looking into possibly another puppy..or two to join our family. Breeds to be determined.

All that being said, Darkside Poodles will now be named Darkside Kennel. Since we are now expanding and trying other breeds we feel its time for a mild name change.

We will be leaving later today to start our drive to drop off Padmè to her new adventure. With that being said, Jyn is still looking for a placement. She is a lovely bitch with a goofy personality. She has the energy and drive to do hunting or any high active sport. She does need training but she would be great for anyone wanting to tackle on the sport world. She will be spayed before she leaves.

Dala is also looking for a co-owner locally if anyone is interested.

Padmè has officially been spayed and is doing great!

Kylo is off to his new adventure! I'm so happy for him! Padmè gets spayed on Tuesday the is off on her new adventure on Sunday.

This just leaves Jyn to be spayed and to find her next adventure in an active hunt home.

In light of both Padmè and Kylo leaving this month, Jyn will be available after her spay. I do plan to get her obedience trained and potentially hunt trained if someone is interested.

Once Dala finishes in UKC she will be cut down and start her sport career, if anyone local to me would like to co-own and tag team sports with her let me know! Hunt tests, fast cat and rally are what I have in mind so far.

At this time we have no plans for puppies. With me going back to college starting next month our focus will be on that. The earliest there could be puppies is late 2025/ Early 2026.

We are in no rush. We also want to announce that this could possibly be the last time here at DarkSide Poodles has a litter of Poodle Puppies.

***UPDATE***
Once jyn is spayed we will begin looking for a placement for her. We are looking into retriever training her before she goes or just basic obedience if that is something you are wanting. If she seems like a pup you might want please PM me.
