Need some good stuff for your gardens, flower beds or fields? We’ve got plenty of composted horse manure ready to go!

Could you imagine carrying a couple hundred pounds of weight unevenly on very specific points of your back? OUCH!

Let’s talk about why saddle fit matters as it’s one of many things that help our horses enjoy their ride with you!🐴🙂

Saddle fit is different for every horse and can change over the course of ownership. Horses gain and lose weight, their posture changes, etc.. those small differences can affect how a saddle sits. Because of that, we have been making a habit of asking our bodyworker to check our setups more regularly while they are already here working their magic. ✨

“What if I just add more pad for cushion?”.. and that may feel like the right idea! But you cannot make the wrong saddle work by simply “double padding” no matter how comfy the saddle is for the human. (It’s actually crazy how many different angles and measurements go into finding the right saddle! 🤯)

Between these appointments, we like to pay attention to the sweat marks when we unsaddle. We want the contact underneath the saddle to look as even as possible, without unusual dry spots or hair disturbance that make us question how the saddle is sitting.

If you already have a bodyworker out for your horse, ask them to take a look at your saddle setup too. (Many of them are certified to fit) It’s okay if you missed something you didn’t know, and you may already have something simple that works beautifully! It does not have to be expensive or fancy, it just needs to fit the horse in front of you and make sense for the work you are asking them to do. 🙂

A little extra wellness day for the herd! 🐴♥️

EH Health and Wellness, LLC was out today providing MagnaWave PEMF therapy and nebulizer treatments for some of our horses!

MagnaWave, also known as PEMF therapy, uses pulsed electromagnetic fields. It is commonly used to support circulation, muscle relaxation, and post-workout recovery. 🙂 It helps with
⭐️ Reduce pain and inflammation
⭐️ Increase circulation
⭐️ Targets 14-16 inches deep
⭐️ Bone repair
⭐️ Muscular repair
⭐️ Improve digestion

We also utilized the nebulizer for horses to inhale a fine mist directly into their airways to support respiratory and clear those airways. We've noticed a couple horses that needed some extra support after that dry stretch, so this reset really helped! 🐴💨✨

Every vendor here is a local small business or family, so come shop small with us. 🛍️ Entry is FREE and ALL proceeds from the activities go toward the care our rehab and rescue horses need over the winter. ❤️ So you'll be having FUN for a good cause!!

A HUGE thank you to everyone who came out to Boot Scootin’ for a Cause!! 🤠❤️

There were smiles and laughter and so many cool new people we got to meet along the way (including you, Mr. Golden!!)

But I think the sweetest part was just feeling how much love there was for these horses from people who had only just met them. You came out, danced on their behalf and helped make sure their chiropractic appointment for this month was PAID FOR. 🐴❤️

That is just so special to us.

Also a huge shoutout to our friend Nate with Firestorm Photography for coming out and capturing the night for us!! 📸 We absolutely love having him around and he has photographed so many memories at the ranch over the years.

🐴💚 HORSE CARE WEDNESDAY! 💚🐴

Another little round of maintenance for the herd this week! 🥰

A group of horses got their hooves trimmed, bodies massaged, and tack fit checked to make sure everything is sitting and feeling the way it should.

Nothing too exciting this week… which is exactly how we like it. 😂 Just staying ahead of the little things and keeping everybody feeling their best!
