💔 An Update from Cocoa Doodles 💔

Unfortunately, this isn’t the update we were hoping to share.

After weeks of watching for signs and hoping for good news, we’ve confirmed that Sadie experienced a false pregnancy. This is now her second false pregnancy in a row.

False pregnancies are actually more common in dogs than many people realize. A dog’s body can go through many of the same hormonal changes as a true pregnancy, causing her to develop a belly, enlarged mammary glands, nesting behaviors, and even produce milk—all without carrying puppies. It can be emotionally and physically taxing on them, even though no puppies are on the way.

After a lot of thought, we’ve made the difficult but loving decision that Sadie is officially retiring from motherhood.

While we’re sad that we won’t get one final litter from this incredible girl, we know this is the right decision for her. Her health, happiness, and quality of life will always come first.

Over the years, Sadie and Kuzco gave us three beautiful litters filled with healthy, loving puppies that have become cherished members of so many wonderful families. Every puppy, every update, every photo you’ve shared has been a reminder of just how special she is. We couldn’t be more grateful for the joy she’s brought into the world.

Retirement for Sadie means plenty of belly rubs, adventures, naps on the couch, squirrel patrol in the yard, and simply enjoying life as the spoiled family dog she’s always deserved to be. ❤️

Thank you to everyone who has supported Cocoa Doodles over the years, trusted us with one of Sadie’s puppies, and cheered her on through every litter. While we’re disappointed that her breeding journey has come to an end, we’re choosing to celebrate the incredible legacy she’s leaves behind.

Happy retirement, sweet Sadie. You have been the very best mama, and we couldn’t be more proud of you. 🐾💕

🤞 The countdown is on… but we’re still playing the waiting game! 🐶💕

We’re still not 100% sure if Sadie is expecting, but after watching this video… we can’t help but think she just might be! 👀 What do you think?

If she is pregnant, she’s technically due in a little over a week, so we’ll know very soon! We’re crossing everything we’ve got and hoping for some adorable little petite Goldendoodles. 🤎✨

And there’s more exciting news… Clarabelle and Kuzco had a date! ❤️ That means we may also be expecting a litter of medium-sized Goldendoodles in a couple of months if all goes well!

Needless to say, we’re cautiously optimistic and full of puppy fever over here. 🐾 Stay tuned—we’ll be sharing updates as soon as we know more!

One more time! 🐾

It’s been a while since we’ve posted, but life has been full over here! Our family has had a busy school year, and now we’re getting ready for a summer packed with fun, memories, and activities.

If you know us, you know family means everything to us — and that includes our puppies, too. ❤️

And lucky for you… Sadie and Kuzco are planning ONE LAST litter! 🎉

If all goes well — because last time was a bit of a bust! — we should be welcoming a beautiful new litter of petite Goldendoodles near the end of July. We know so many of you have been waiting for this pairing, and we cannot even begin to tell you how excited we are!

We’ve had serious baby “puppy” fever around here, and honestly… we are more than ready for tiny paws, sweet snuggles, and all the puppy kisses. 🐶✨

Let’s cheer Sadie and Kuzco on for a healthy, lovely litter soon!

✔️ Deworming
✔️ Full health exam
✔️ Microchip
✔️ First round of vaccines

And just like true demigods, they passed with flying colors! 💪✨ No issues at all — healthy, happy, and ready for their next adventures.

We had an amazing Puppy Selection Day today — every family chose their newest furry hero, and the pups were total champs meeting their future humans! 🐾💛

But now… the quest has officially worn them out. 💤
We’ve got a pile of adorably exhausted demigods who are dreaming of belly rubs, treat jars, and adventures in their new furever homes.

🌈🐾 Remembering Grover 🐾🌈

Our hearts are heavy as we share some very sad news. Sweet little Grover, one of our Percy Jackson litter, crossed the rainbow bridge just shy of 4 weeks old due to puppy fading syndrome.

In over 15 years of breeding, this is the first time we’ve had to walk through this heartbreaking experience. Even with all the love, care, and veterinary support we gave him, sometimes nature has other plans that we cannot change.

Though his time with us was far too short, Grover was deeply loved. His gentle spirit and tiny paws left big prints on our hearts. 💙

We take comfort in knowing he is at peace, and we’re so grateful for the joy he brought us during his brief time here. Please keep our family and his littermates in your thoughts as we continue to love and care for them.

Fly high, little Grover. You’ll always be part of our Cocoa Doodles family. 🕊️✨
