2nd graders form Algona Community School District visited the Preston farm last week to wrap up their Adopt a Cow project.
Last fall, each class was assigned a cow that they got to name. They received zoom updates throughout the winter and when the calves were born this spring the classes got to name them also.
During the farm tour, the kids got to see what happens on a cattle farm. They learned how the farm takes care of the animals, where the cattle spend their days, and what they eat.
It's program like this from North Central Iowa Ag in the Classroom that makes learning about agriculture fun!
Thanks Sara and Preston Farms family for this great experience!
